Being able to re- tie in the wind or being able to un-button a fish or any other issues while in the wind as I get older is the main reason for wanting spot lock, and to just take a break. Is the price worth it? I’m thinking yes, my knees and back need some help!

I’ve been waiting for it to come out before making a decision, I have read of multiple issues people have regarding the ultrex , such as water getting into the motor, control board going out, steering going out related to pressure sensors under the foot pedal, some say you need a spare steering board and cables with in case you have problems. I’m sure just as many have had no issues also. I’d appreciate it if you would keep us posted on your time on the water with it.

I remember you giving me a couple of them and I was using them and still have a few of them, I used to be able to find them online, I have some spare time, I should make a day trip to hook line & sinker and get some.

Not sure what the whites do down there but at LOZ they are right on the banks feeding on Shad. We caught a big mess Tuesday, some in water as shallow as 2-3’

The whites are pretty easy to find as you say on wind blown banks and points, and yes you hope to hook into a hybrid while catching whites. It’s a game of luck I imagine actually finding a school of them unless you do some serious searching with your sonar, with that my cousin had a blast catching whites. Luckily I did hook into one wiper I assume, I had absolutely no control on this guy, he had a major attitude, I tried to get him out to deeper water where I could play him out but the rascal got me wrapped around I believe some big rocks, it was a blast though, most likely going to come down next week for a few days and try again. I think this time I am going to throw some bigger swim baits and such and not directly fish for whites. Tight lines!

I’m bringing my cousin down just for the day to get him on some whites, he’ll have a bunch of fun with them, but I am interested in finding the hybrids. One will have to do some searching I suppose with the side imaging, Plan on being down next week for a few days. Thanks for the input, much appreciated. Steve

Spinnerbait bait bite the last two nights has been absolutely amazing, numbers and size, sorry no pictures, 1st night, numbers and size, last night more size than numbers. So much for the September blues.

Just wanted to report on the Saturday night tournament, not on the results but on their actions. I was test driving my boat after I replaced the reeds and had injections cleaned when the jerks came flying past pla port. Most were all in a group doing about 50 I’d say and several came within 30 yards of me with their boats rocking back and forth all while trying not to loose control. Really pissed me off as they had absolutely no respect for safety and any one on the lake, a bunch of jerks and losers to say the least. All local boys I’m sure, and you wonder how and why people are getting killed on the lake.

Reminds me of the smallmouth we used to catch down off of Route CC south of Alton Mo. Probably 35-40 years ago. I’m thinking it was Fourche creek, we used to fish Fourche lake a bit back then, don’t quote me on the creek arm, ran out of the eleven point river. We used to catch some huge small mouth out of there along with the numbers. What a time it was.
