  1. Ike loves plugging Molix products... he's even sporting one of these on his chin! http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Molix_Supernato_Beetle/descpage-MOLXBET.html

  3. Fortunately I am not closed off, but I live at 44/270. Took me 1 1/2 hours to get home last night from Chesterfield. Everyone was trying to get on 270 since 141 was shut down.
  4. Al, Could you jog my memory on on the effect of major flood events on structure in the river, such as gravel bar movement. I know I've read posts in the past where people have discussed the transformation of the river, and people such as yourself have mentioned that it would take a significant flooding event in order for some major changes to occur. How do you see this event effecting the body of the river?

    What's Cooking?

Had some left over rib roast from Christmas... Made some beef fried rice. Quickly fry eggs, remove from pan, sauté onions, garlic, carrots, and peas. Remove from pan. Fry rice for a few minutes, add all cooked ingredients and chopped up beef. Add soy sauce to taste.

  11. Lipless baits and topwaters are king in FoPo. I switched jobs this year, and now I'm out in Chesterfield so I don't get to FoPo as much as I used to. I miss that place. Last winter the trout were inhaling the lipless crank as well. I would catch them every other cast. Just stand between the reeds on the west bank and fling it out there. There is a deep hole by the aerators on the east side that is a nice wintering spot. Brush piles are straight out from the low concrete (not the raised platform).
  12. I'm thinking I might try some 1/2oz Scrounger heads, maybe even a bladed jig.
  13. Yeah, I like the 3xd, just wish I could get something a little deeper.
  14. Looking for recommendations for a deep diving crank (at least 15ft) with a small body. Most of the baits seem to be 3"+. Anybody know of any decent ones that are below that size?

    What's Cooking?

I know what you mean... If you plan it out far enough in advance, you can just pop it in the oven without having to stir, but you have to do it for a few hours.

Ness... You need to get that Roux darker my friend!
  17. Reminds me of a story I saw from Ducks Unlimited about a guy in California this year. Shot a banded duck, went to look at the band and saw it was from Japan and from 2001! That's quite the journey.
  18. The Slim Swimz?
  19. I don't think it's all that complicated... Northern Strain Largemouth Vs. Florida Largemouth Kentuckies Vs. Alabama Strain Spotted Bass. One grows bigger than the other.
  20. Thanks, finally got on...
  21. Tacklewarehouse down for anyone else? I guess it could be volume related, just wanted to see if it was only me.
  22. I'm John... but no worries. I think at 11:20 I was sitting at my computer messing with vlookups and nested "IF" statements, so I was probably having the better morning.
  23. Nice Fish!
  24. Hit up the Lower Meramec after work on Friday. Didn't get anything of size, but ended up getting a few dinks on film. Caught a short short smallmouth and a sauger on the Ned Rig, and another Sauger on a Rapala jerk bait. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IcCUT4nusU&feature=youtu.be
  25. Sweet Man!
