when I use shad for crappie it is mostly under light in my dock. The ring shad make greatschools around the light. We just scoop them up real fresh and put them on a small crappie hook attached to a unweighted 6 lb test tine and let them sink by themselves they might get to 6 ft before they are inhaled. Can catch a awful lot of crappie that's way. I use use shad as big as I can get on spoons of 1/2 oz and up to 7 inches for white bass and hybrids. the real key to using shad is Fresh dead or alive.

I tend to like larger minnows for crappie But if I cn get my hands on small shad dead or alive they will catch crappie. up here on LOZ. I really believe there is nothing can beat shad in LOZ. I use them on spoons a lot.
-
I been thinking about trying sinkos right now. In caught a 5/4 last november. If nothing else I might just drag it down the bottom

I just bought a 300 yard Spool of This stuff in 10lb test for a bit over $25 bucks on Amazon prime That is as cheap as I have ever seen it.

The gravois in the mid section is off color but I M sure it is plenty fishable. I had to work on my Seawall yesterday and did not want to one bit. that looked like a heck of a day to be fishing my Rogues. WAter might be in the 40s but those bass or up so close to the bank in the afternoon around big rocks. It is a really good time to hoe for linkers.

You are closer to the truth than you might realize Wrench. I believe were in this mess because of our moral and religious attitude. The book of Ezekiel make it as clear as anything what our moral and godless attitude is getting us. People today say God is love and he forgives us over and over again like a broken record But god is after all God. I do believe we have brought most off these problems on ourselves.

Today should have been a real fine day for jerk baits. I spent the better part of the day working on my Sea Wall

I suppose it depends on where your fishing and where the fish are in the water table. Sometimes when I want to really work the brush pile real good with a plastic worm I will put a split shot on the line in front of a 10" worm. Lets me work it thru the brush in a natural manner and not foul the spot. Jerking the thing thru there and more than likely getting hung up. I believe weights line size and type all go into your weight choice. different lines have different bouncy. and some catch more in the current.

Well if you looked at my first post on this subject back on page one Al you would see that I am a strong avocate of gun registration. I am all aware we got people around here with R15 that re fully auto or have bump stocks and what have you that are not registered. I would make it felloney with a steep fine of a few thousand dollars not to.

Actually Al limiting all Rifles to a 3 shot capacity like a shot gun would be a good start. But I have to agree this is a real mess, and it is not going to get better unless there is a national change in attitude. As far as arming teachers goes. I hate to say it. All the killers will do is adapt. They can stand on the side of the road and just rake a school bus.

They are impaired they just do not talk about it. Lake communities resorts and what not that have septic system or some contraction requiring a pond or pool and no matter what they claim those systems leak affiants into the lake. All o a community does not need to be on the lake to cause fluent to go into the lake. It goes down thru the ground into the rock quaffers and will travel uphill and down under pressure int some where down in the lake bottom somewhere and enter into the lake. That is a absolute fact it happens everywhere and is a national concern about the nations ground water.

I got two people that are real crappie fisherman. As of last week one reported to me they were catching crappie way back in the coves under a cork. The other one told me they caught crappie trolling deep. Since the weather insist on jumping all over the place all I got to say is who knows really what it might be. At this time of the year you need to search for sun the more the better. Crappie and everything else will come up close to the surface on a calm sunny day even far out in the lake. My one friend is a compulsive troller. He has too very long spinning rods he trolls with that stick way out both sides of the boat. He clams it is much more effective to troll outside the boat path. I think he might be right and I think he was picking up crappie a lot shallower Than he thought those sunny afternoons.

Rockets and explosion cannon shells were nothing new 1812. the Chinese been at it since the time of Marco Polo. China are before.

I have no problem with a 15 or anything else. But if it was up to me all rifle type weapons would have a 3 shot capacity Like shotguns. There would be no unregistered guns with the exception of pellet and BB guns. Not registering a gun.Would be a felony. Punishable by a fine of $5000 and some prison time to go with it. In my neighborhood I got some unregistered AR15 that were bought at gun shows by old guys that are scared the poor folks are going to revolt and take away there heavy money bags. And they want to be prepared for the call to clean ut the swamp they say. Most of them cannot even wipe there a-- properly. Much less Go into combat with a bunch of young people In there own swamp the alleged swamp.

OLD PLUG Does not use mono on his crappie outfit he uses 10 lb Pro braid on those. Preferably in yellow since he cannot hardly see to the the black stuff anymore. He uses mono for everything except sinko baits there he uses the 10 lb Pro braid again. -
No she wrote that on inspiration from the book of Matthew. Not sure right now what verse. You can find the lyrics Just google up Rhonda Vincent Lyrics.

All this talk about mercur. Just getting sure your Merciry is not a Yahama. I got a 115 Merc 4 stroke 2001 model and that power head is pure Yahama. Only problem I Have had is with fuel jets. Can be expensive to fix until I learned how to fix them myself.

It is a general breakdown of our society. It has been going on a log time. The hard feelings pass on from one generation to the next. For every injustice or prejudist action there is going to be a reaction. That s how it is and that is how it has always been. There is a song called " You can't live God if you do not live your neighbor". The song make you think about yourself and your relationships to others.

Fish are active all winter just below the surface all winter in LOZ. Just watch where they feed. Same applies to the other fish feeding birds. They will come after you. Ask wrench

I can tell you the best glue I ever used was Liquid Fusion. It can be thinned to the point it saturates windings. When you do that part way before you warp the the finish wrap it will sink into the windings then when finish up your windings it will seal they as well. I top mine with a coat at full strength. A 2oz bottle will run you 7-10 bucks. It is water PROOF not water resistant.I have had jig that I used awhile and wanted to change them. I had to use a razor knife to scrape and cut the windings off. Hobby Lobby carries it and so does that big Fly tying supply house in St Louis County.
