Thank you Dave I will try to message him. The fish was released after the picture. I could have place in the live well to get a weight but did not want to take a chance. She was full of eggs and hope she makes more giants. Plus the fish were busting shad really well. My dad, uncle and I had about 30 fish in about an hour and half. What a great day it has been a week and still on my mine. -

Thank you for all the comments I appreciate it. Bill I agree the frame of this fish was not like your typical Table Rock spot. It was more like a Alabama spot or largemouth frame. But again she had a rough patch on her tongue and also the dorsal fins are connected confirming to me it was a spot. now I will say I caught her in dirty water and maybe that is why her color is a little different. thank you all again for helping me out with the weight I believe I am going to get a replica mount done. Any suggestions on taxidermist that does replicas? Joe -

Thought it was at first but she had a rough patch on her tongue. -
Hello all it has been a long time since I have posted. I was back on Table Rock last week and caught a beautiful spotted bass and of course did not have a scale. She measured 20 1/8” and was fat full of eggs. Any ideas on how much she would have weighed? I was guessing 4.5-5lbs but wanted some thoughts. Thank you sorry for the ugly smile lol.

Dave, it is funny you post this because I placed an order about a month ago, and was having a hard time getting a hold of AL. He finally emailed me this week, and said it has been a crazy month . He did let me know my order was shipping this week, and it seems that the best way to get a hold of him is through his email. I don't know if he sold the business, and based on his reply it seemed like he was still operating. If you are looking for pigsticker jigs you can also call Sportsman Factory Oulet in Springfield, for they told me they have a lot of his jigs in stock. i will also agree with everyone Bo's jigs Nutech Lures are excellent products. I have also PM Bo and he is more than happy to help out if you have any questions. I guess I am going to have purchase that grass jig now lol. Tight lines to everyone

Bill is right on the money with the Cara T7 jerkbait special, for I used one for years and it is one of the best jerkbait rods out there. I also use it for topwaters as well.

Thank you very much Bill, Tim, Jim and Snake. I figured as much you just don't see that style of rod that often, but I will take a look at the St.Croix or the Castaway. Thank you again

Hello, I haven't been on in a while but I heard Buster's fishing seminar from a couple years back an had a question. What brand or model rods does Buster use for his jerkbaits? I remember older post and a couple of pictures of shorter pistol grip style rods. Which are hard to find now days. Most pros and anglers today are trying to use the longest rods possible but I don't think it is conducive for jerkbait or topwaters when using a downward movement. Thank you

That is a sweet photo!

Bo Nice report looks like you caught some nice crappie. Is that an old smithwick spoonbill?

Champ I think they might be referring to the Top Dollar top water plug that Norman makes. I have never used one but it seems there are a few guys who really seem to like them. Speaking of Luck-E-Strike there is a company I would love to support more, but it seems quality is lacking on most of their products. (Warthogs seemed to be a disaster) I know their jerkbaits and squarebills seem to be the only products that are mention. I also know they seem to have one of the better pro staffs around. James Waston, Hibdons, Robbie Dobson one of the Lane bros. I also believe Lucky E Strike products are made in the USA and are the Great the State of Missouri. Since I seem to have a major collecting problem with tackle maybe someone could let me know if there is something I am missing with Luck E Strike.

I am a huge Norman lures fan, and was sad to see they got bought out by the giant Pradco brands. I am sure they will ship all manufacturing over to the China, and another great American lure company is gone. I checked Tackle warehouse and it looks like some people have heard and bought quite a few since the acquisition. It still amazed me that you could buy a quality USA made crankbait for $5-6. Well again tough to see but that is business, and could only hope the people at Norman lures were taken care of.

Thank you they look pretty sweet. Going to be down for thanksgiving and will be chucking the bull shad see what happens.
