  1. Oh I knew what you meant, but Gavin had mentioned the jet boats
  2. Thanks for all the info guys, we might be modifying our plans a little bit but either way I'll post some pics if any good fish our caught. While I am a little nervous about the jet boat thing it definitely isn't a deal breaker for me as I've been to the Current and other areas where they are pretty thick
  3. Hey all, a couple buds and I are planning a float in late August and I'm wondering about the smallmouth fishing. Most of my Eleven point experience is closer to the Arkansas boarder (where I've done quite well) but we are considering floating Greer to Riverton. I know this stretch is more trout heavy but I've spoke with a couple individuals telling me that late in the summer the smallie fishing should be good here. Just wondering what some of you all think as I'd love to hear more opinions on the matter!
  4. I feel uncomfortable just looking at this picture, really bums me out to see
  5. I haven't been to BRL in several years but it was always a fun time. Love seeing all these pictures. Glad to see you've caught a couple good ones, how have overall numbers been?
  6. You can still get them through a couple ebay sellers, good color choices and fair prices too.
  7. Yes it works and there are many ways to catch them. I suggest searching "walleye fishing" on Google. You'll find more info than you could read in a lifetime.
  8. Not quite what I had expected profile wise, but I'm sure it catches fish.
  9. Nice trip!
  10. In the case of River2Sea, the guys making the baits are Southeast Asian children Sorry I couldn't resist
  11. I feel like this bait is getting a lot of hype as being new and innovative when its really just another double prop buzzbait. Same thing with the whopper plopper, that style bait had been popular for years up north but R2S makes a cheap mass market version and people act like they revolutionized the fishing world.
  12. I've used many different types of footwear in the river but the best are just old athletic shoes. Whenever a pair of my running/gym shoes start to get worn they become my river shoes
  13. Thats a dandy right there!
  14. Great catch!!!
  15. Looks like a great time to me!
  16. But its ok to brag on the internet about your catches? I don't really care either way but its a little odd...
  17. Its a crying shame they couldn't get the fish certified. Sounds like the Cali dnr didn't really care or want to be bothered on a holiday weekend. Anyway, I look forward to the video footage coming out
  18. I'll be shopping Last Chance, Monster or Tackle Warehouse Black Friday. 20% off everything, free shipping, better selection and better pricing than the big box guys. No thanks Bass Pro
  19. Sounds like a hell of a day. Good work!
  20. I'm with Richy, hookups are better than you might think. I remember telling myself when I got my first mini slammer "how will a bass fit this in its mouth?" now I fish baits much bigger than that. The main issue that annoys me about swimbaits/big baits is that it seems some guys (mostly out west) become so obsessed with them that they develop a "swimbaits or nothing else" mindset like its a lifestyle choice or something. I feel like that is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, catching fish on a swimmer is pretty exciting as you feel like every time it could be "the one" but limiting yourself to a certain style seems silly. Yea, swimbaits are awesome but if there is a good jig bite then switch it up. Sorry, just wanted to vent briefly
  21. I was joking. I thought the sarcasm was evident
  22. Swimbaits are too big. Missouri fish hate them....
  23. Meh, whatever. Doesn't really affect me that much since most of my tackle is bought at TW, Monster, and other smaller retailers

Just curious, what size is the Mitch's craw and what size swing jigs are those?
  25. Darn! Well once you do start making them I'll gladly buy some!
