  1. Vernon Why can't you receive messages?
  2. The Languille gets really clear in the summer but its hard to run and there is almost no public access. Fishing can be really good when they start draining rice fields late august/september. All manner of fish stack up at mouth of ditches running into the river. Same thing happens on Bayou Deview and the Cache, and pretty much every slough in rice country.
  3. I've shot a lot of ducks around Hunter, AR... I grew up hunting and fishing a duck lake off the Languille River just east of you. Had many a Grinnel break my 4 lb test while jigging buck brush for crappie. You're definitely in the right country!
  4. Redbuds blooming...white bass running. Dogwoods blooming...crappie on banks. I'm at home icing my knew knee, so please post some pics and reports as I'll be missing both runs this year.

  6. It is powered by the cranking battery, I think the issue is what Dutch suggested, but I just want someone to fix it. I just looked up Ferrite choke (bead, block, core, ring), suppresses high frequency electronic noise and reduces electromagnetic interference. I got a headache just typing that!
  7. I have trolling motor interference on my bow Helix 10. Every time I hit the pedal the entire screen fuzz's up. Otherwise works great if you just want to drift and see where you been. Any recommendations on someone to look at it either in the Pittsburg, MO area or South KC? Thanks
  8. Just guessing here...but based on where he lives, and what he does, this project is for when his fields and woods get locked up, and it's for running a substantial nearby river, and hunt backwaters that are still open. At least that's what we did down there...back in the day.
  9. In case anyone has one of these for sale...it traded $850. I would have gotten my $900 ask, but wife cock blocked me and hit the bid.

  11. Yes, welcome to the forum. Wrench will be sending you a friend request shortly.
  12. It's in my wife's way...nuff said.
  13. $900 OBO Amazed at folk's lack of geography knowledge. Had this thing sold twice, but people don't realize KC is a long ways from Wisconsin and Michigan.
  14. Squirrels. All I'd have to do is just shoot one for them...and birds would be immediately forgotten.
  15. My old wife had an all white cat named Snowball that spent a lot of time outside. That cat brought her 1-3 birds daily for many, many years. How the heck does an all white cat catch that many birds? When bird hunting I've encountered cats in woodlots miles from civilization, and they were very healthy...WERE. My new wife is a dog person...
  16. He's not doing it for the $$$. Look at his original post. That being said...If I broke a custom built rod, don't think I'd feel right asking for a refund or new rod from a local rod builder.
  17. C'mon Mav...they've shown you pretty much everything else.
  18. If you want to know, CVS shows Covid Antibody testing for $38.
  19. In case someone needs a 9.8hp project. Not sure I've ever seen one of these that wasn't tiller. https://kansascity.craigslist.org/boa/d/la-cygne-98hp-mecury-boat-motor/7411601647.html
  20. X2 on the amazon/ebay carb. I have a 20 year old echo blower that finally quit running couple years ago. Ordered a $20 carb and fuel line kit, took 10 minutes to replace, fired right up and running great ever since.
  21. Since the threads already been jacked...speaking of steel. I was in Fredonia, KS this weekend to open bird season and saw a steel shop I'd never noticed before. RKS Steel. they had inventory piled all over. Encouraging to see, seemingly thriving industry, in a small KS town.
  22. Sold Thanks everyone for your interest.
