  1. Excellent size comparison Brian. Ive learned that if you are catching them then it shuts off just switch up or down in size 16-18 or 16 to 14... this usually will get you back in the game. A color shift will do the same . My go to is 16 tan but gray will save the day sometimes.
  2. Scheduling conflicts now preventing our attendance. If something cchanges I'll let you know
  3. I may be in on this not sure what to bring. But if I come I will post something
  4. She liked it. I baked in butter and onion ad seasonings. It was really tasty
  5. Yes and yes. When i first found out about Capps I illegally walked the dam pond by accident. Saw some big trout in it. I have also seen reads above middle access and down towards shoal creek.
  6. Camera was in truck for big rainbow but I kept it to eat. My wife has never had trout
  7. Landed three. It was slowwwww. Biggest one came on a bugger jig in olive it was 17 in rainbow. If they have stocked it hs been wiped out. Caught one small parr marked rainbow and one brown missed quite a few rainbows didn't see any big browns at all.
  8. Going to sling big bugs on Capps Sunday. Had some good fish move last year and hope to find them hungry again this year
  9. I have still yet to get out there with my flyrod dpitt. I plan this next early spring maybe going
  10. Excellent photography! Nice fish glad you got on them
  11. Wow... I wish I had an opportunity like this in high school Ryan. I'll spread the word
  12. Plan on using streamers again this year. Have a good feel for them now and moved a ton of big fish last year.
  13. I needs to start a log sandy.
  14. Your a gracious and wonderful person sandy. privileged just to have you guys in my life!
  15. Wish I had the picture of under side. It was super orange Along the chin area. Too may spots though. Thanks for checking my craziness fellas 😂
  16. You cant see it but this was the fish. There is orange along his gill plate and there was a thick stripe under the lower jaw .
  17. So when I was fishing Oct 8th I caught a trout with very bright orangish red markings under its chin. It was clearly a cutthroat. What's the likely hood of my not being crazy? I wished after the fact I'd snapped a picture if the markings considering it was a weird fish. I was so hyper focused on the big browns I dismissed it.
  18. Wonder where are all the browns? Have the not swam back up from the lake yet?
  19. I like mine really buggy as well and sparse equals better hook up ratio
  20. Yeah I agree with that. The guy just wouldn't let up as we watched him foul hook so many fish the hypocrisy was too much 😂. Also coupled with the fact that he walked all across the outlet and back twice with no regard to any of the people fishing lead me towards his nick name . You are more patient and understanding than i. Hope to be so gracious someday. 😉
  21. You landed some really nice rainbows and that one nice brown that flipped and flapped and escaped before I got turned around to take a picture. Also didnt help that PETA was there foul hooking all the browns and scaring them away while protesting your photo op 😂
  22. I sight fished scuds on 6 x Tippett size 16 and 14 gray and tan. Mostly around outlet 2 as that is where the most big browns were congregated. I caught a few before sun up below three but didn't see any biggies on either side of the split. The ultra low flow made it easy to see fish and the rain masked the cast as well as the larger Tippett. Scud unweighted with tiny split shot six inches above. Up stream cast on tight line keeping contact with bottom was key. Good 36 inches in front of fish on the cast . I just picked out fish and tried my best to keep it in their lane. Saw some monsters and caught some really nice fish.
