  1. Thanks for all the replies fellas. Not quite sure where we’re staying yet as I’m not super familiar with the rock, but it’s looking like a guided taneycomo float is what my buddy would like. Fly only might be a deal breaker for me personally as I love to throw a jerkbait and that’s what I’d be looking forward to.
  2. Morning folks, will be hitting the Rock for a bachelors party Memorial Day weekend and a few of us want to stretch some lines. Bass or trout, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
  3. I drove down from KC to handle some family business that Friday evening. Woke up early the next morning to take our kayak out and opted for the bank instead due to the ripping wind and rollers. I can’t believe they let y’all launch in that. Dangerous stuff. Can confirm it was a bad morning to be a flipping jig tho!
  4. I’ve spent quite a few hours fishing out the back of a 621 bird and can attest to everything Bill said. Never put my own to the test like those guys, but they sure feel superior in every aspect. My first boat will likely get beat to s*** on the rough waters of LOZ despite it being my home pond my entire life, bc it’s more about fishing than keeping up with the Joneses. I do know who I’m gonna bring my new-fangled outboard to when the time’s wrong tho 🤣
  5. sacking em deep without scoping em! my guy @nomolites
  6. Yup, proven sticks. Was that 2 an over under or was he just sayin he caught a bunch of dinks? 😂
  7. Justin Lucas has been on a heater, back-to-back second place finishes in their last two events including Pickwick. Wouldn’t bet against that dude.
  8. You mean @fishinwrench? Yeah he’s on here from time to time. Likes talking crappie, stripers, main lake points and four strokes 😂😂
  9. Hah! good warmup for a dink fest tho 🙃
  10. First time I’ve heard somebody call their wife a cracker lol. She must not be a forum member 😄
  11. I just like that it was won on ANYTHING BUT a big swimbait or a rig.
  12. nicest thing anybody’s said to me today, thanks for the emotional support 😆
  13. oh and apparently this is an upgrade 🤣
  14. Seen the winning fish was 7.11 - encouraging to see one that heavy get weighed in this time of year but looked like average weights were 5-6 and more typical for the fall bash. Anybody got deets on the winning fish or know anybody else who did well?
  15. looks like the most fun you can have in fresh water right there! but you let that greasy green fish touch the same plate as those stripers??? 🤢 😆
  16. You've got those deep fish dialed! 👍
  17. Nice work! You’re gonna need to learn me some spoon jiggin next time we get out. 👍
  18. Caught a few on a plopper a couple summers back. This lm and a few spots. Nothing huge but they’ll definitely eat it when the times right.
  19. wrench's green stripers are on the pill too? 😂
  20. Casey Scanlon guides last I heard, pretty sure he knows a thing or two.
  21. Agree with that for the most part, but if you’ve invested in the tool and are trying to consistently make some money on a trail I’d imagine you’re going to use it no matter what. You know “biting” doesn’t always mean “eating” either, pissing off a female on a bed that’s staring at you and guarding eggs is a different ballgame than those suspended fish :)
  22. probably not a hot take, but there’s a jerkbait bite to be had right now.
  23. They sure have to be by now. Spent Saturday AM chasing bass on Stockton and Mother Nature must’ve thought I was looking skinny. Two of these slabs hit a squarebill and one choked a half ounce spinnerbait, go figure. Walter also choked the blade. Sure was nice getting away from boat docks.
