  1. Congrats! Great fishing for the kids! Love to get my daughter back down there before she turns 16. May spoil them but still worth the trip.
  2. You know that I am willing and happy to catch anything and anywhere!
  3. This was a fishing report? Who knew 😁.
  4. They were nice looking trout. Several streams like those here in MD with reproducing browns. I have no issues with going after those fish. Also have a few with naturally reproducing brook trout that are in their native range.
  5. Nice report Marty glad to see the little woman helping out on her sick day πŸ˜‚.
  6. @Flysmallie he says that to everyone until you can actually get the time to go with him then its like don't have the time or its a little windy....😒
  7. Sorry to hear about your issues with the storm. Hope you can get out soon buddy! Go catch those whites!
  8. @BilletHead no dissertation about wild trout versus nonnatives. You must like Ness a whole lot more than you do meπŸ˜›.
  9. @ness and @ness'lady congrats on your fishing success! Great looking fish and definitely great looking food! Thanks for sharing. Will have to keep that area in mind when we want to check off Minnesota 😁.

    What's Cooking?

Last night was a use what I can from the fridge. I found some white asparagus, onion, some bacon, a mix of sliced mushrooms (shitake, oyster, and portabella), some sliced ham, and a mix of cheeses ( @WoundedOne smoked cheddar, sharp cheddar, asiago/parmesan blend, and smoked provolone). I also found a third of a box of large shells and a half box of medium shells. I broke up the large shells so that the pasta would cook at the same rate. I sauted the bacon then added the onion and asparagus. Onc ethe onion was close to translucent I added the mushrooms, sweet basil, S&P., kickin chicken spice. I drained the pasta and let it cool. Melted buter and added the cheese and aome milk to make a cheese sauce. Mixed the pasta and the meat/veg mixture in a casserole then the cheese sauce. Topped with more shredded cheddar and baked for 30 mins. No photos but it ended up a pretty tasty dish 😁.
  11. Nice sculpin! My daughter would be jealous.
  12. @Lance34 great job! Nice fish buddy.
  13. Been seeing these photos. Congrats buddy on some very healthy bull bluegill!
  14. I agree with MOPanfisher that it looks like a brook silverside.
  15. Great trip Marty! Seems like the last time you and Curt fished there I was driving through Memphis with my family.
  16. Stinkin bass πŸ˜‚! Actually Stinkin sunfishπŸ˜›! Whites are a true bass.
  17. Here is a striper that Livie caught last summer πŸ˜‚.
  18. I would clean fish at the house and the carcasses would end up in the garden if it was before we planted or in the freezer to go into garden in the fall.
  19. Great advice!
  20. I will note that Al Gore may have never dreamed that when he invented the internet that he would get this much attention !
  21. When I was in 7th grade I did a project on how a household could contribute to their local energy requirements by contributing trash (and waste) to a neighborhood compost and methane production center. The house would recycle gray water (didn't know that term at the time). As you mentioned it is unlikely that a larger scale may not be practical. Even a small scale might not generate enough "fuel" to generate a sufficient amount of energy.
  22. Very nice paint job!
  23. I have done that to crappie and other species, but only with fish that we were keeping for the table. That way they are considered separated in case the warden checked us. Never released a fish that was clipped.
  24. It's more likely student loans than cocaine or strip clubs...
