It’s hit or miss on the slime on the lower end. Some points and pockets have little some have a lot. There are plenty of places to fish without getting gummed up. You should be fine, just move when you get into it and not too far. Or throw the jerkbait in the bad areas. Looking forward to your reports.

Good job and report! And congrats on the new Ranger. What year and model?

I lived in Texas for about 8 years. We did some work retreats to Travis and would do guide trips. Caught a lot on grubs but nothing big. From what I remember some years it was super low and others full pool. That part of Texas is so dependent on rainfall for normal levels. I had no idea it had bass in it that size it would have asked to change the way we fished!

We did a few trips a long time ago. One with scouts the other unsanctioned. Used Tom and Woods, which I think now goes by a different name but you can google search and it should come up. You can stay close or they can haul you somewhere and drop you off. Lots of great fishing. Take 100% Deet. If it’s not melting your watch band it’s not good enough! And when paddling from place to place, drop a big red devil spoon down, pin your rod under one leg and troll to your next spot. We caught several deep lake trout doing that.

Nice, congrats on a great day!

I was in Wichita often for work a few years ago and stopped in one night. It’s small but packed full of a lot of stuff. Lots of build components. Would be curious how much of their inventory is actually out on the shelves vs stored elsewhere for shipment out from on-line purchases. Not trying to persuade you from going in person because I’m glad I did but don’t be surprised how small it is. Might be worth calling them to talk shop about what you hope to find in person before you go. They also had a lot of catfish related items and bait which the guy said was a specialty of theirs.

Not sure what you are talking about. There is no more point 2. The sign is now just a big arrow pointing into Beardsley.

I’m in. Paid through PayPal as well. Please confirm and thanks for setting this up again. David

Congrats! That’s an incredible buck.

Fished my last outing of the week this afternoon before heading home. Caught 2 good ones and 2 short ones. Caught one keeper on a 1/2 oz finesse jig on wind blown bluff end. Not a major deep bluff but a medium longer run. He had some buddies chase and try to steel the jig on his way in. Couldn’t catch any others and got tired of fighting the wind so went back into Beardsley to fish deep. They were more scattered today and I only caught one short spot on a drop shot. Lots of lookers on the graph with several baits but they didn’t seem to want to eat today. Went back to the jig on mixed rock/gravel in 15’ and caught caught 2 small mouths. One good keeper. The SM is the same fish.

Found some deep fish that would actually bite today. It wasn’t consistent and I had to work for them. No spot lock. Older graph on the bow with transducer on the back and trying to video game fish in 65 fow makes it a challenge. Caught them all on a little George in a deep creek gut. Tried spoons, drop shot, ice jig and some other stuff without a bite.

Thanks but I’m jealous of your numbers today. Well done.

Caught 5 small mouths and a random walleye/sauger? Only 2 of the bass measured but they were good ones. RC and Ned Rig. Similar to Quill’s post we have loons here as well and they know where the bait is. Graphed some decent balls with I hoped to be bass but ended up being a crap load of gar. The bass can’t be too far away, I just couldn’t find them.

Who Is Fishing the Big Bass Tour Oct 31-Nov 3
SplitG2 replied to crazy4fishin's topic in Table Rock Lake
Well Bret, the jar is gone so I slipped in for one this morning. How do you feel about an IOU? SupremeJCK, I’d the fish tournament with you but I can’t commit until the last minute. -
Bo, See my response on Quil’s buzzen around post. I responded there before seeing this one. Worth a try...

Bo, I’m not an IT guy but before you try to delete your account and start over, could you set up a new “ghost” account with a new user name password to try and see if you can like and see pics with it? Maybe that could identify if it’s the account or your computer. Just trying to brainstorm. I’ve been helping may parents with technical issues lately and know first hand how frustrating it can be.

2020 Ozark Anglers BASS Fantasy Fishing League
SplitG2 replied to abkeenan's topic in Table Rock Lake
Well crap...didn’t make it in time. Good luck. I’m out. -
Bo, you’ll be happy know I beached the boat and waded to get one of my favorite jigs back this am. It certainly was wasn’t from getting hung up...it was from me rushing a leader knot without my new old man cheater glasses. Underhand roll cast toward a submerged bush and it sailed straight through and out the back😂

Caught 3 this am. 2 keeper sm and a short spot. Wobble head and ned rig. One of the sm is not having a good day. He was trying to crap out a ned head.

Fished most of the day. It was tough but great weather and very little boat traffic. Water temp was 81 and had a good green tint. Had few blow ups on a spook early up shallow but couldn’t pin them. Caught a few 14” spots on a drop shot on a gravel run out. Those fish were definitely scattered. I normally see them waded up near bait or brush but today I had to move around and target small arches of 1-3 fish and then was luckily to get a few to bite. A small pocket near the run out had a lot of active fish in 29’ near bait in the middle of it but couldn’t get any of them to bite. Decided after too long they might not be bass and moved on. Went shallow with a jig the rest of the day. Squeezed out a 1/2 dozen short fish and one good LM, the only keeper of the day.

I use a Kistler for deep cranking. Forget which one. It’s ok. Been eyeing the Jacob Wheeler series ducket rods and curious if anyone can comment on it for big plugs.
-
This is what I use. It may be a little wimpy for some people but I love the way it loads and the balance while fishing.

The top water bite was slower this morning but managed a few before it was over. Attached are some pics from the last 2 days, including a really nice 19.5” smallmouth that I caught on top this morning. She knocked my spook 3’ in the air but missed it and when I went to walk it again the lure was fouled on the leader and would not work, so I dropped that rod and left the spook floating. Grabbed another rod with a red fin and threw it Into the action. And of course the fish hit the spook with the rod now laying on the floor! I dropped the Redfin rod picked up the spook rod and get her in the boat. It was comical.

Caught some on a spook on a main lake point early. Had a clear one-knocker on, caught 2 and missed several. Should have used white, which I realized I left on the dock. It’s hard to leave active fish but should have. The surfacing fish seemed to be big singles, not packs like normal this time of year. Final did go get my gear, went back and caught one quickly before it was over. Moved to a gravel run out and caught a great smallmouth on a 1/2oz pbj football head jig with cinnamon twin tail grub dragged like a c rig, that spit it at the boat. Switched to a pbj ned and caught 2 more before going in. Also, checked a big brush pile on a another gravel point for drop shot fish before I left but no one home yet.
