  1. We have all kicked or dumped a tackle box, tool box or carefully organized nut and bolt bin over once or 4 times. I used to go flipping crazy. Now, I just channel George Costanza. Serenity now, serenity now, .....
  2. The good news is they didn't all float away......
  3. Stein, I am leaving for Michigan for the summer. Can you have mine built before Halloween when I normally head back?
  4. Wrench, he said "could show", I bet he shares a lot of our same problems.
  5. That looks like ness's deck.
  6. Yikes! That can't be good for Phil's blood pressure. Lets hope he won't have to do the one cast from his living room again.
  7. That means she needs her own camera Dad. You did well teaching her, she is going to kick your ... soon. Take it like a proud papa.
  8. Phil just likes zip ties
  9. Bet that scared the stuff out of him! It can be very dangerous, I could write a book about the stuff I have seen in my 45 years of Turkey/Deer hunting, amazing what we see and get away with.
  10. Nice job! I teared up thinking about the first time my wife out fished and hunted me. I was so proud! Way to go Mrs. BH!
  11. Bh, can we donate to this program? Gear, flies, cash?
  12. Wrench is the man! Can't wait for the first annual badminton tourney/ billethead vs ness bbq cook off.
  13. Her password is Ness needs a new deck. Duh!
  14. I hope when she learns how she will teach me. I did just upgrade to a Android phone, it has training wheels but i hope i can start sharing some pictures soon.
  15. Wrench. I will buy a 17ft v and will stick my 9.9 on it. Don't need any electronics, the wheel bearings and tires are not required since I won't haul it. But I can cover that if I want to. Pontoons 21fters are 1500.00. Motor might work. We haul them to Canada several times a year. Not arguing, just taking advantage of opportunities.
  16. Hey, I really don't care. I am sure I know plenty of places that I will share with anybody . I asked for a river, not a tributary or a GPS location. You enjoy yourself sir.
  17. Thanks. I'm not the only one.
  18. I'm gonna buy a used 17ft V bottom with nothing for about 1200.00 this spring. They are a dime a dozen. Fish the heck out of it and sell or give it away this fall. It works for me . I can't justify the expense , storage or state title problems to haul them back and forth. New boats and new cars are a waste of my money. I am 55ish and semi retired, want to stay that way.
  19. I understand joeD. I don't ever tell anybody about the tributaries of the Muskegon, Pere Marquette, Manistee, AuSable, Bear, Platte, Boardman, Willow Run, Canyon Creek, The Hopkins, etc. And that doesn't count the downstate or Lake Huron side rivers. If you want some U.P. tips you can go find them yourself.
  20. Only 88 grand? Pfft, my lake front home on Higgins Lake, Mi cost 90,000.00. It is worth much more now but 88 for a fishing boat? What bank loans that kind of money? I might want to talk to them. That banker has a great sense of humor and I appreciate that.
  21. What river? If you don't mind.
  22. Go Duck's ! My Red Wing's are at home packing for their new arena. Went for a short trip to California this past week and was treated to red line seats 8 rows back. Game 2. Was a blast. Why KC didn't get a team is terrible, they have the arena, were promised a NHL or NBA(pffft) team. If you build it they will come.... I think Politicians lie.
  23. Al, would you agree that the rivers and streams were better when we didn't have the internet ? I floated every river in Missouri, Arkansas and most of Oklahoma for years. I have canoes stashed at many outfitters along the most popular of them. Need a canoe? Just ask if Nick's is out back. If you want my Mulberry River Canoe bring Duct tape, It's at Byrd's. (It leaks. But it will give you a great spring ride! )
  24. Nice. Keep us updated with pictures please.
  25. Hey I didn't mean to imply I was for the scrapping of the gauges. I just was trying to just point out we did get by without the tech. Didn't do a very good job.
