  1. My cuz camped down there recently. Water was up but fishable. They did good on sculpin jigs, they fly fished too but I'll have to ask him what they were using. Prolly an egg pattern of I had to guess. Good luck!
  2. Here's one off his Facebook page. Was 12.2 then 11.7 I think, not sure what the official was. 28 and 3/4 I think for length.
  3. Huuuugggee! Very nice guys.
  4. Awesome Phil! From start to finish that was a great ride. Beautiful fish too. You guys weren't too far off your estimates you called a 30in fish and he said at least 12lbs. Special fish for sure.
  5. Haha, I chase em in the daylight too. I'll refrain from posting my ugly mug anymore lol. Just wanted to get the awareness out there that it can happen to anyone at any age.
  6. Beautiful fish, and awesome to see your wife catching as well. I have 1 solid trip booked down there in August... We are camping below the dam. Hopefully I can finally catch a cutty.
  7. Thanks guys, I got a boonie hat. I generally do not wear baseball caps since I'm bald I end up with crazy lines on my melon. I guess it beats the alternative though. I am really digging the buffs though and if I can figure out a way from keeping my glasses from fogging up I try to pull them up over my nose too... Wife bought me some fancy sun block too so I'll likely run that on my nose and around my eyes from here on out.
  8. Just another reminder fellas to take sun exposure seriously. Wife drug me to the dermatologist yesterday and he ended up doing a biopsy off my nose for a spot I've had for about 3 years now... I'm only 39 but my dad's had 3 surgeries on his nose already so I let them cut me. I'll find out in a week if it's cancerous or not, fingers crossed is all we can do at this point... It's a hard spot for me to keep covered or sun screened as it's right where my glasses sit on the hump of my big ol broken nose.
  9. Nice QB. Sounds like a great day on the water. So at what point during the day did Ham finally throw a jig lol?
  10. Really did turn out great buddy. Glad Liv has a cool trophy.
  11. That was awesome! Thanks for sharing. You guys took great care of him for sure.
  12. Yikes... Forecast looks like you guys have a 50/50 shot of rain for like the next 11 days or something crazy like that. Hope nothing comes of it. We just now had our roads re-opened here at home from the Mississippi filling up the flood plain...
  13. Glad you were able to get away buddy. You gotta go to you happy place as much as you can! Safe travels my friend
  14. @Seth posted something about a huge brownie being caught today. I think it was 36lbs. Sorry it was on my wife's Facebook so don't have the full scoop...
  15. My eyes are as green with envy as the eyes on those sculpins lol. Looks awesome buddy as usual.
  16. Nice vid as usual buddy. Very cool footage, and congrats again on the win. I have a boat load of footage I'll get edited someday... Maybe...
  17. Yep that's exactly it. He is a fantastic guide to boot. Runs ozarktroutrunners.com Welcome to the forums as well. If you're looking for info on taneycomo there's a ton of great guys here that will help. Phil also does pretty regular reports and if you don't already follow his one cast series on the Lilleys landing Facebook page.
  18. I tried going out for a bit yesterday and got absolutely swarmed... With the flood water up as they are I think this will continue for a while. The info I've seen in these everyone calls them buffalo gnats. Not that many biting gnats, but these are the ones I'm pretty sure. Didn't want to risk my eyes again so called it quits. May need to try a net I guess...
  19. Found those brownies! Nice job.
  20. Wow, nice ones there. Do you ever catch any ugly fish lol.
  21. Wonder where the brownies all went... nice fish there. Were you guys throwing rainbow or sculpin pattern?
  22. Way to get after them! Hope you can stick a big one!
  23. Haha, you know I love ya brother, now smile and know that our fishing bond will never be broken lol. I couldn't imagine a better day if you and I could get trythisonemv to be our crane creek guide for a day. I'd likely have to work hard to keep you trout hunting vs chasing those micros! We could bring the girls too so they could put us both to shame.
  24. Umm this guy right here would love to accommodate a weird schedule lol. Sometimes it's easier to go during the week, just have to move stuff around at work. I'd love to hit that creek sometime as I've never been there. That is a beast of a rainbow! Although @Johnsfolly is better looking, I smile a whole lot more!
  25. That's a nice chunker there! Bet that was a fun ride.
