  1. Duane throw a stick at all? Sounds like the buffet is open for business.
  2. Good deal Phil! Getting closer to getting down there. Seth and I were joking about who knows what water conditions we'll be fishing in lol. Last year it was gates open, super heavy generation. We caught fish but it was tough. Glad to see this is more a gentle release if you can call 10k cfs that...
  3. Bring on the Shad! Maybe some Walters too if we can get out at night this weekend! Hope they close them though before this weekend...
  4. Shame on me for forgetting that part... it's a great feast and good fellowship for sure!
  5. Anyone else gonna make it? Although I'm not a huge tourny guy I'm pretty excited to get down and fish this weekend! Plus it's for a really great cause, and Seth needed a net guy lol. I'll likely head down Friday early, but if I can get any small break in generation I hope to throw some stick baits at night in the trophy area. I'm sure the odds of that are small, but who knows. At least the weather looks great. Any who if any one would like to sync up and night fish, just shoot me a pm.
  6. Man some of those first ones were thick!
  7. I need to remember this trick for when I want to come down to wade fish LOL. Will be interesting to see how the fishing reacts to the slower water.
  8. Nice job dnj21! Look at that smile! Theres a few of us on here who's daughters put a whoopin on us sometimes LOL. Congrats on a great day of memory making.
  9. Very nice! I like that green too.
  10. I know this seems really basic and silly but double check your date and time and time zone settings. Certificate based authentication will balk at the wrong date and time. Also download chrome browser on your phone and see if that gets the same results.
  11. I'm no help other than being jealous and waiting for your pictures to load. I packed an extra suitcase and threw all my stuff into a 40L day pack, and I zip tied my boots to the bottom as well, and my rod holder into the side when I went to Idaho a few years back. Cost me like $50 extra but was nice to have all my own stuff already set up and ready to go when I got a chance to fish. Good luck
  12. Hit my subdivision ponds up twice now. Slow and deep were the ticket. I started out on the spinning rod and the small ned. Went back that afternoon with the fly rod and stripped bead head wooly buggers. They really woke up on that combo. Caught some gills too that were beasts. I went out today again for a minute and it was all gills, and big ones at that. A tree finally broke me off so called it a day with the wind picking up. Looking forward to warmer temps. Although pretty in there winter colors I like my gills colored up!
  13. 1/8th oz white white/grey or yellow and Black have always been my go too with high stained water down there on the spinning rod. Fish them off the bottom, you are gonna lose jigs, but you will get bit. Almost fishing them like you would a hair jig for bass worked well for me. I'd imagine you could go up a size with a bigger rooster tail and get some action too for the kiddo. Might be easier and a bit less boring than slow jigging for the kiddo. If you are fly fishing, big bead headed woolly buggers in olive or red are also worth throwing with a medium to slow strip back. I've had some great days there with the water up... Hope you guys can get into them.
  14. Cool, I'm trying to squeeze in a late week trip with the warmer weather forecasted, but there's a ton of water every where somewhat close to where I want to go...
  15. Nice job on the trifecta. Water looks like it was flowing pretty good. Bank fishing or were you trying to wade?
  16. I agree, very well put together.
  17. Bald is beautiful! Marty is rocking the bald head with style... I am a bit biased though. Congrats again Pat, hopefully you can show me how to shoot them birds this year...
  18. Happy Bday Mrs. BH! Hopefully Marty was extra nice to you today!
  19. Nice job T. Looks like some stuffed bellies there on some of those fish. Can't wait to get down there during this last round of feeding frenzy.
  20. Nice job you guys! Sons got that magic touch too! Some beautiful fish there, and even better memories made.
  21. Love seeing you two catching together! Kierstin said to tell Liv hi!

    Yard Pet

Pretty good size pet ya got there! Looks delicious too!
  23. Guess poor fish weren't ready to go cliff diving huh... It's a long drop for sure. I remember the spoon that @Seth caught with the broken nose... Good luck out there and save some walters for me DD.
  24. With all that fancy equipment in the woodshop it's only a matter of time before they make a time machine! and while you're at it if you could build me some sort of teleportation device Duane I'd greatly appreciate it!
  25. It was a few years back now when they shocked up the 39lber if I remember reading correctly. If that fish is still swimming it would almost have to be a world record fish now. As for lights all the fish I've hit with a white light will scatter or not stuck around very long. They don't mind the red head lamps however and I've had some big ones swim right up on me in my red light...
