    Dam area 6/13

1/8 head. One of Dave’s. Mike
  2. I was able to go fishing today from 9-1. WT was 77 in the area around the dam. I hit a couple of secondary points and caught 4 and 3 were keepers 2 smallies and a KY. Found them using the electronics. PBJ Ned in 15-20 fow. Boat was sitting deeper though. Something I learned from Mr. Babler. I had another one on that looked to be a good size largemouth but as I reached for the net, the fish pulled line and went deep. Broke off a ned. Boats came out pulling tubers so I headed in. Mike
  3. Great memories. Family time is great. Mike
  4. Champ, hope it goes well. I’ve had 2 back surgeries. The pain getting to that point was not fun. Good luck. Mike
  5. Congratulations. Nice pictures of healthy looking fish. Mike

  12. Wait, what? Fishermen exaggerate? Say it ain’t so! Mike
  13. And it is interesting that they are fishing so differently. Martens is drop shotting and Montgomery is flippin a creature bait shallow. 20 minutes left Mike
  14. Something like in one of the periods you only add your largest 5 to the weight of the other 2 periods? I suggest this because a lot of the MLF guys are accustomed to hunting for 5 big ones and not numbers of smaller fish. Mike
  15. Seems that if everyone has to use the same scales, the flopping issue is the same for everyone. So no advantage. Mike
  16. Those of us who fish TRL on a regular basis catch many fish >1 lb but not always 15” keepers so I can relate to the scoring format. It is fun catching fish regardless of size. I’m wondering what everyone else thinks about the scoring format. Is this scoring format the future of tournaments? Mike
  17. 196, healthy looking fish. Sounds like you had a memorable day. Mike
  18. Dan, healthy looking fish. Mike
  19. QB, they were told you have those fish trained to only bite your lures. Mike
  20. Ketchup, 1st day shows us in the lead with 15.45 with a big fish of 4.45 lbs. next boat has 13.35 lbs. 2nd day is from 6am - noon. Lake is coming up 6” a day. Good water color where we are fishing I hear it is brown down by the glaize bridge. WT is 69 - 73 degrees Mike
  21. MoCarp, I wouldn’t even know where to begin to look for videos like that! All I could think of was Mardi Gras parade during a flood. Ketchup & Wrench, great versions of the same story. I’m heading to LOZ Wednesday at Point Randall to fish with a group of retired railroaders. Actually it is more of a b-b-q and card game in between a couple of hours of fishing. Mike
  22. Healthy looking fish. Congratulations. What happened on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday? The details of fishing reports (successful or not so successful) are what makes this forum fantastic. Keep posting each day every little bit helps. Mike

    shell knob

When we returned about 5:30 pm yesterday I noticed a lot of big bass boats on 265 heading away from the lake. Then I saw the Ulrich c&r pontoon following. Was there a huge tournament Tuesday around the dam area? Mike
  25. David, thanks for the information. Congratulations. Mike
