Cheese, thanks for the report. Black and blue jig, eh? Sounds like a good time. I have to rely on reports like yours to feed the need to fish until I can get on the water.

Richy, Congrats on the win. Nice looking fish. I've just got to gain some confidence in that swim bait technique. New Year's resolution #2 is to throw it more in 2016.
Mike
Champ, your general pointers are amazing. I wonder what your specific pointers look like. lol
Eric, Champ is giving you great advice. I look forward to your report on Monday.

Well, I felt the same way. But a couple of weeks ago I bought the Abu Garcia 6'6" medium action rod for lighter crank baits. Yes I admit that it is white. So to make it really stand out, i also bought a red reel to put on it. Now I feel special. I do like the feel of them and the rig is certainly lighter than the Berkeley rod and PQ reel I was using. I'm hoping the fish will see it in my hand and laugh so hard that they will not realize i have a lure tied on the end of it and they bite it while laughing.

Sore Thumbs, here is the link to a map that I use when looking for a ramp. You can zoom into it pretty far and actually see the ramp and the parking.

Ben, I received your reply to my personal message. Good luck you are on the right track. I wonder if there is some COE or other federal or state agency grant money available for this project. Just a thought.
Mike
Cindyjo, sounds like you hit THAT day. You know the one between the phrase, "you should have been here yesterday" and "They will really be biting tomorrow" I seem to pick THAT day a lot.
