  1. You need to find the brush piles right now I'd say. It doesn't really fish like the other lakes around here from what I've experienced. There's very little wood or traditional cover in the lake due to it being a water supply for Springfield. That's what I've been told at least. There are a lot of really good fish in that lake though.
  2. That's actually a pretty good idea.
  3. The A-rig fish that I caught came out of a tree top right at the boat. I had a dink hit it near the bank, but I watched the keeper come out like a rocket and smoke the back bait. The water is really clear right now.
  4. I got out. Put in at Mill Creek and caught a nice 18 inch largemouth at our first stop. That was the only fish of the day for me. Came on an *cough A-rig cough*. Ran way up the White River to mark some waypoints only to have some boat trouble and had to call it a day.
  5. We saw one boat at the roll off catch a fish almost immediately, but it was literally the only fish I saw all day other than the one that I lost at the boat.
  6. Put in at K dock yesterday. Only one other truck in the lot. Saw a handful of boats, but no one was really even getting bit. Threw an A rig almost all afternoon with nothing to show for it. No bites on the jerkbaits and only one lousy bite on a jig that came off at the boat. Tough day.
  7. Thanks for your service! None of us can really say it any better than Phil did, but you're more than welcome to look me up when you get to the area. I might even share a couple of good spots with you!
  8. I like a super slow reel for A-rigs. Like a 5:1.1 or a 6:4.1 or something like that.
  9. I don't really know about the rut. I just always try to stick with the paved ramps especially this time of year.
  10. I'd go to K-dock on Bull or somewhere easier to put in on TR like Aunt's Creek or Cape Fair marina.

Don't fire all of them. Employ them at hatcheries to raise Florida strain largies to stock TR and Bull.
  12. Sounds like a fun lake...
  13. I'm probably a game time decision. I usually work Saturdays and will have been gone quite a bit in February.
  14. There's a corp campground at Cape Fair, but I think most of the Corp campgrounds open 4/1. I'd definitely call them.
  15. I'm in and I even sent out my bait. I feel like a new man. I hope Champ likes that target on his back!
  16. I'm going to self report myself. I forgot to get my bait sent and will do so tomorrow. I've just had a ton of stuff going on with the kids, but I failed and am a jerk for it and will fish it.
  17. You responded almost like Beetlejuice was summoned. Pretty awesome if that's how this works.
  18. I know for a fact it's going to save me money. Or at least make my Tackle Warehouse habit more precise...
  19. This is happening at my house soon. I'm gonna need a ton of hooks.
  20. I use a Falcon Bucoo SR 6'6" medium rod with a Daiwa Tatula CT in 7:3:1. Mostly throw the vision 110 or the McStick. I typically use big game mono on this set up because I use it to throw spooks too. I have a brand new spool of 10lb Invisix that I should put on there until warm weather though.
  21. Can you throw an A-rig in the tournament? If so, I'd absolutely have one tied on.
  22. Where is the non-boat side?
  23. I'm too busy. I haven't filled my deer tags either. I'm getting double skunked and my 11 year old is kicking my butt at hunting too.
  24. I still like a few of the crankbaits and I definitely like their elaztech senko thingy and all of the Rage Tail stuff. The spinnerbaits are crap in my opinion.
