  1. Are they gonna buy my boat gas and equipment too? 😁 So they need to help you NOT abuse the resource? 😁
  2. I'm getting there. My wife is retiring in March. Which will free us up since she has to go into the office and I can work remotely from anywhere.
  3. I shoulda taken the time to name them all. Might have struggled with couscous but I would have gotten it. Been too busy working.
  4. Does the DNR get money from the permits? How much? I don’t like that there are different rules for tournaments than the everyday joe.
  5. Home later in the afternoon?!?! Flowers! Were you worried they would come back at another time?
  6. He said 47 boats last week. 😐
  7. My neighbor had 16 pounds Wednesday night and didn’t even bother to weigh them.
  8. I love a good spinner bait bite!
  9. Kegger at Phil’s 😂
  10. Nice DJ! I’m headed back on the 10th. For at least 3 weeks maybe 4. I’ll leave them night owls alone though. Unless you call 4 am nighttime😁
  11. Welcome. That’s a great a lake. Great trout fishing below the dam too. The only warning I have is you better post pictures or guys like @Johnsfolly get a little upset😀 Not really it’s just long standing joke around here.
  12. Mirepoix for sure. Looks like chicken soup. Throw out those peas and you’ll have a winner😂
  13. What color were they before you cooked them
  14. Bummer! I’m a stickler for maintenance to try and mitigate any mechanical issues but it still happens. One other thing slowing down my trips is gas prices. I’ve never dialed back trips due to fuel but I am now. It’s not that I can’t afford it’s more about return on investment. Is fishing for a few hours before it gets real hot and busy with people worth the price. Until this year the answer has been yes. Not so much this year.
  15. Did she have to reach a certain threshold for Medicare to pay? All my buddies on Medicare say it’s the best coverage they’ve ever had.
  16. If I had more time I would do it. Used to as a kid. We used the stand up tripods and a piece of bacon tied to the net.
  17. Nice! I have an old bass pro brand MH spinning rod that I still use and it’s caught hundreds of fish. Cork is all cracked and dry but whatever. It’s a solid workhorse. I’ll have to try that Sedona when I need another reel. Let us know how you do ok?
  18. Those are nice ones!👍
  19. I hit the river early. Lots of fish but no decent to big ones. All small but a lot of them so it was fun. Pop r and Ned did the damage. Had a real nice dark colored one come up miss the pop r. It would have rounded out the trip. I spooked two nice ones out of an eddy while getting out of the way of boat traffic. In a spot I probably wouldn’t have cast to on a plain gravel bank. I was done by 10:30 when the barbarian hoard showed up. I’ll spare you the boat ramp etiquette. 😂
  20. You can talk to the Wetlander guy. He’s very responsive.
  21. I don’t know about the rivets but the guy at Wetlander will answer your questions. My coating guy blasted mine with glass beads. Steel shot will imbed in the aluminum and rust.
  22. And that brand new 40 mercury that smoked like my uncle Tony is gone. I've got a 90 rude on it now. That merc smoked more than the 2 stroke Rude does. Smoked the first day I got it.
  23. The ones at the Gov Center are put on by guys who want your business. Which is fine if you are comfortable telling them you are not interested in their services when you are done. The emphasis was on what group most of your doctors are in.
  24. That's all I use anymore. I bought a high dollar reel about 20 years ago and before I even used it I stumbled down a rock bank and fell. I used the hand my rod was in to break my fall and that poor reel was mangled. I have 5 spinning outfits all with Presidents. 🤷‍♂️
