    I went yesterday morning at 6:30 to my usual far back in the coves. Didn’t catch anything for 4 hours. Then started fishing lay downs and caught 2 dinks. Called it quits at 5 hours with my tail between my legs. I’m going trout fishing here shortly. Hopefully they haven’t been talking to those bass. 😆

    Zebra muscle, barnacles, whatever. They stink when rotting in the sun.

    I still really enjoy plain ole fishing. Some days good, some not so much. But if I can find them I can usually catch some. I use cranks, jerks and buzzers this time of year to find em. If I find some I slow down and try to optimize that area. If we would get some cooler weather with wind I’d throw a spinnerbait. But we haven’t had much of that when I’ve been out.

    I know a couple guys who clearly are donors. Golf, if you are good enough is easier to net a profit. Set of golf clubs is way cheaper than a boat.... I did it for years. Weekly skins games and "pro/scratch matches. A club in IL used to have a $1000.00 skins game. Even John Daily showed up once. The side games got pretty steep. I would play in 2-3 cash games a week.

    That gives me hope. I thought maybe you guys had FFS or side scan. I just fish "good" looking areas in the hope of running across them. I start top to bottom, fast to slow. Thx!

    Thanksgiving is a zoo. But I don’t go up to the outlet area anymore unless they are generating. I don’t think the area is as good since they put in the “habitat enrichments”.

    I worked remotely on the beach in SC last winter a few weeks. Even though it wasn’t typical beach weather it was a Great change of scenery.
