    I had one stalking my birdbath for a couple years but I haven’t seen him this year. My daughter saw a bird ripping through some Xmas decorations on the house across the street from her. It was red shouldered hawk attacking some birds that nested in it.

    I didn’t get out until about 10 AM. I finished around 230 when the sun poked through. It was on right off the bat. First fish was bigger than the 21”er below. Chased it around for a while and never could get it in the net. Got off at the boat. I caught so many in the 14-16 inch range it was crazy. For reference the little brown below is 16”. I just love overcast, foggy, rainy days. Big fish weather.

    I understand that. That’s why I put the disclaimer about them being “advertised” Those slot limits are horrible for a public ~30 acre lake.

    My experience after watching the MDC takeover management of at least a dozen very good lakes around the STL area is you will have a lake FILLED with 11-13 inch bass and very small bluegill. But it should be noted this happened at the same time they publicized them on the internet. I’ve been thinking of selling my pond prowler because they aren’t worth fishing anymore. I’d be very interested in following along as you progress.
