I fished it but it was years ago. One thing I've learned about CO trout. They will bite the exact things trout bite here in MO. Sometimes better. I don't know if it's just not popular out there but dragging and un-weighted bugger on a sinking linehas always been pretty deadly. If I were rigging my rod at home before seeing the water I would put on an egg and midge. Good luck and post up a report with pictures please...You know, for all of us stuck here

Not working for me. But I'd love to see them. If I lived up there I would go stark raving mad in those winters. Not much different than what I experience here now that I think about it.

My grandpa passed away and his house had sat empty for quite a while and my mom asked if I would move in there to start cleaning it out. I was sleeping on the couch the first night there and had a nightmare that a spider had landed on my face and I woke swatting and all freaked out. I went back to sleep and woke up in the morning thinking, man that really felt real. I look on my pillow and there is the dead daddy long legger that was on my face. I swore that place was haunted after that. We sold it to the airport and the feds used it for urban assault training then they tore it down.

Back in the old days the old boys would tight line night crawlers on bait casters and catch stringers you wouldn’t believe.

You can learn a lot about trout behavior and catching them in the outlets. Hopefully you move on and put that to work away from the outlets. Like how I taught my kids about catching them.

I'm trying to figure out where to fish this weekend. Stinking rivers are at flood stage around here.

I probably use jerkers for trout more than bass fishing. And that trout fishing is primarily at the tail waters so a long cast certainly helps.

I use a St Croix Eyecon 7' M fast action spinning rod with braid and fluoro leader. I can fire those baits a mile on that setup. BUT.... I did just get a new reel for my 7' Cara Cranker I bought from Babler so I will experimenting with that one.

I think it’s the Tactical Bassin guys that had a YouTube underwater video showing fish bite a jerker over and over and never get hooked.
