Nice. I saw his Bink's pictures too and booked a trip in October too. Can't wait. We'll be on a trout fishing trip down there but wanted to try the striper fishing too.

I was winter fishing with two buddies at Taney a few years ago. They split a bottle of Makers and a few beers after fishing. First they got kicked out of Danna's BBQ. Then in the morning at the free breakfast, they forgot to use the cooking spray on the waffle maker and the lady working there kicked them out too. One of them threw up in the boat later that morning. Fishing was good though. San Juan worm bite if I remember.

Yep. My dad took me all over the country fly fishing. He was voted into the Legends Hall of Fame himself posthumously at the Southern Council Conclave in Mountain Home a few years ago.
I've been fishing down there since the late 70's. In that amount of time a guy gets lucky now and then.
It didn't hurt fishing with my dad and guys like John Gully, Dave Whitlock, Chuck Tryon, Ed Story and Chuck Davidson. Many others too.
The picture on my signature is a 28 inch brown I caught at Rim Shoals on a bugger. I've lost count of the slams I've caught down there. Brookies are always the hardest for me.
Start of the trout season really. At least for me.
I caught this on one of the last days before McC's closed. October, san juan worm, 6X Flouro tippet. Can someone turn it upright please?
