  1. I agree and I bought that banjo minnow when it first came out. One exception is when the wind is blowing and the fish are real active. Last fall my son and I caught a cloudy windy day and you couldn't jerk a fluke fast enough to get it away from em. I've had similar experience when trout fishing in the winter.
  2. Keep em coming.
  3. State Park Marina or Indian Point Marina.
  4. Does one always speak in the 3rd person???
  5. My wife and I were talking about this yesterday again. It was 18 years ago when we went on our last trip. Of course we are on the Meramec at Onondaga so I'm sure it has to be the busiest location to float in the state. Still, if I caught my kids acting like that I'd kick their a$$e$$. And they know it.
  6. I love bugs!!
  7. There are piers at Ho Hum aren't there?
  8. I haven't heard any personally but I think your probably right.
  9. I made some with italian bread, moz, pepperoni and little marinara. My kids will mess you up to get one of those.
  10. I think I posted this before. Toastight. My daughter is a lifeguard at a summer camp every week and I like to send her off with a good meal. This one has bacon and velveeta cheese. The cheese is molten hot on the inside and it seals the edges. You can mix it up and even make "gourmet" versions. I like toasted cheese with pickles in it!!
  11. I prefer the word "sack". Either way you'll be crawdaddin for sure.
  12. Is Corkery now Ho Hum campground?
  13. You might need to add another title, Chief. I love pork steaks!!
  14. Great idea! I just keep an eye on a lone rock or stick or something. If it goes under I run.
  15. Depends on the women. 3 like my ex and he'd have shot himself.
  16. Me too!! Love the vid
  17. They did that Memorial week too.
  18. Kind of embarrassing compared to the rest but it's what I got. 8' Pond Prowler with a 55 pound thrust trolling motor and my "tow vehicle". I call it my urban assault vehicle for bass fishing in the burbs. I've been kicked out of more subdivisions, golf courses and even a couple corporate park lakes than I care to remember. But a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do.

  20. Yeah I know. But we liked to go on real hot days like today. I feel they robbed me of a great activity. When did it become like this? I went when I was young and we didn't do this stuff. I just mentioned this to my wife last night and she misses it too.
  21. I hope you have a good trip. I loved being in the Boy scouts when I was growing up. A week at S bar F Ranch every summer!!!!
  22. Saturday afternoon on a float stream.................They will be seeing the a lot of "nature". My last float trip was quite a while ago after going floating for years. I was floating with my wife and we came around the corner to see two girls doing a strip tease on the gravel bar with a bunch of drunken idiots cheering them on. The trip before I was challenged to a fight by two drunks because I took offense to what they were saying to my wife. We quite after that and I really miss it. We had many great trips in the heat of the summer just relaxing and cooling off. Then the young drunks started showing up everywhere. Pete
