  3. Anybody know how to tie a Blowfly? I think it's a shad pattern tied with marabou. Thanks, SIO3
  4. I shot a bunch of clips from a trip to Taney a while a back. Justin playing the guitar and hanging out at night. If you get past the first minute and a half you'll see something other than music. SIO3
  5. A boat would be best down there, but here are a few areas to try from shore. The Landing parking lot. I saw tons of fish midging down there. Up by Scotty's also. Rockaway beach has a lot of area to fish from shore. Down at the other dam. The name escapes me. Let us know how you do. Snagged
  6. We stayed at Dockers on Green Mountain Dr. 3 guys for $50 a night. And you get breakfast. It's not that far from the State Park in the off season. http://www.dockersinn.com/ SIO3
  7. I'll pass. SIO3
  8. Justin said "There is no way catching a fish can be good for it so if you are truely worried about killing a fish you'd better go golfing." But who is going to regulate protection of the other golfers? Snagged
  9. Can anybody get the charts to load? I've been trying all weekend with no luck. I'm curious what the lake levels are for a future trip. SIO3
  10. I fried some Cajun catfish in the garage on my dual fuel stove while it snowed. She made a salad and risotto. SIO3
  11. The link is 3 posts up. Here it is again. http://news.lilleyslanding.com/winter-trout-tournament-schedule-set
  12. Here you go. http://news.lilleyslanding.com/winter-trout-tournament-schedule-set It's two weeks out, $50 per team and only from 8-4. I can't wait to see this. SIO3
  13. Thanks, RS. I only put on enough to fill a third of the spool, otherwise it's a mess. You don't use a leader except topwater, even in really clear water? What knot do you use to attach the leader to fireline? I used fireline on a spinning rod at a pond that stays pretty muddy and I didn't use a leader. SIO3
  14. RS said "Superline ends every problem associated with them. Line twist, having to re-spool every other day, all that stuff." What do you recommend I try? I've been using Vanish for a couple years and love it. I've stayed away from the lines that are similar to braid because they seem visible to the fish. SIO3
  15. No problem. I only know because I wanted to go myself. Seems early this year, doesn't it? SIO3
  16. So Are you going to fish the Tourney Trav? I'd like to see how well you do. When is the next tourney? SIO3
  17. I've seen other browns that look like that in the White. I think some of them just stay more streamlined than others. Nice catch!!! Did she fight hard? What did you catch her on? Snagged
  18. Nice!!!!!!!!!! I fly fish only, but I think I might book one of you guys to learn some things that might help my flyfishing. Keep up the reports! SIO3
  19. In Brents defense. I saw several references to the 15th. Even the Weavers website had the 15th listed until I emailed them. Go to Tan Vat my friend. SIO3
  20. I know they (McClellans) sold property up by the upper shoal but they still had the main property. I talked to them last year and they still owned it. John and Ruby said they were tired of chasing people around to get the fee. They made enough off the upper end sale to retire. SIO3
  21. McClellans was sold!!??? When did that happen. I knew it was closed but I didn't know it was sold. SIO3
  22. Hey Pat Did I miss your call? I checked my email too, nothing there. Nice going on the Cback. SIO3
  23. Hey Larry Does anyone down there rent pontoons? SIO3
  24. It can be done, but you will have to drag it some areas like the end of Long Hole, Ace in the Hole and probably up near the ramp at the dam. Depends on your drift boat too. A heavy, high sided aluminum boat will have to be dragged more than a fiberglass low rider. This info was relayed to me from someone who has floated it in a driftboat for a trip we were going to take a couple months ago. We went to Taney instead. I've walked a large portion of the Norfork and floated it in a canoe, and I believe this info is correct. I've seen a lot of guys do it in one and two man pontoons. There is only one public put in and that's at the dam. Float 4.5 miles and take it out at the confluence with the White. The ramp is to the left when you get into the White River. Snagged
