I wanted to revisit this. Last week I was on the river fishing. Upstream about 500-600 yards I saw a boat coming around the bend. Easily seen. A little bit behind that a kayak came around the same bend. I couldnāt really make out what it was until it got about halfway to me. And didnāt even notice it until it was substantially closer than when I saw the boat.
The difference I noticed is the boat cast a shadow and the kayak really didnāt. I think itās the dark shadow that boats cast on the water that make them āmoreā visible. We see that shadow more easily. I shouldāve gotten a picture.
