    I had a customer bidding on this job using a massive cofferdam we were going to fab up in our shop. They didn't win the job though.     I buy it online and snap a photo of it on my phone. Plus I have MO-whatever app and the card. But I just carry the phone. Valentines cards in grade school....Yeah, uh NO!

    Honestly, Bill I grew up fly fishing and came to bait casters a lot later. I had more issues with “professional over runs” than I care to remember. So way back when I switched them to braid and get rid of that problem. Might have been poor reel choice as much as anything but I never had the problem again. Today I’m respooling all my rods and the last one is that cara cranker you sold me. Thx!!! I love it. I might try the 10 pound carbon on it. Spinning rods I just carry two different reels. One with braid and be without.

    Yep I've heard that but the extra distance is really nice. And the baits run deeper. I treat them like fishing a wacky rig where I just keep reeling when I get a bite. Not a hard hookset.

    I have a Cara Cranker and Lew's reel loaded with 20 pound suffix and with 10 pound flouro leader I can fire those things a mile... Braid cuts through water better and gets them deeper too. IMHO.

    I watched a guy do just that this past August. I was fishing the mouth of Fall Creek where Bill caught the record. They were running just a little water and this guy comes upriver in a big ski boat. I kept waiting for him to slow down but nope. He actually went right through the shoal at Fall Creek without a nick then beached it right in the middle of the narrows. I heard him yelling but figured he knew what he was doing.😂

    I was just talking to my wife about this and it was 18 years ago since I was there. I've seen videos though. Whoa!! My buddies who have houses there, hire boat captains to drive them around to bars. They said it's easier to cross over to the Bahamas from Fort Lauderdale on decent day than get out on LOZ...😂
