    I feel your pain brother. I've lived here for 55 years. Been kicked out of about every piece of water in the metro area. I'll give away the best honey hole I found. The lake beside Verizon on Hwy 40 near the Boone Bridge. I snuck in there before daylight a few years ago and caught nice fish on 4 consecutive casts with a spinner bait. Then the fat rent a cop rolled up on me in golf car and explained it was private. I did the same ole kickin the dirt thing I do every time I get caught. He apologized and followed me to my truck.

    I agree and I bought that banjo minnow when it first came out. One exception is when the wind is blowing and the fish are real active. Last fall my son and I caught a cloudy windy day and you couldn't jerk a fluke fast enough to get it away from em. I've had similar experience when trout fishing in the winter.

    My wife and I were talking about this yesterday again. It was 18 years ago when we went on our last trip. Of course we are on the Meramec at Onondaga so I'm sure it has to be the busiest location to float in the state. Still, if I caught my kids acting like that I'd kick their a$$e$$. And they know it.

    I made some with italian bread, moz, pepperoni and little marinara. My kids will mess you up to get one of those.

    I think I posted this before. Toastight. My daughter is a lifeguard at a summer camp every week and I like to send her off with a good meal. This one has bacon and velveeta cheese. The cheese is molten hot on the inside and it seals the edges. You can mix it up and even make "gourmet" versions. I like toasted cheese with pickles in it!!

    Kind of embarrassing compared to the rest but it's what I got. 8' Pond Prowler with a 55 pound thrust trolling motor and my "tow vehicle". I call it my urban assault vehicle for bass fishing in the burbs. I've been kicked out of more subdivisions, golf courses and even a couple corporate park lakes than I care to remember. But a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do.

    Yeah I know. But we liked to go on real hot days like today. I feel they robbed me of a great activity. When did it become like this? I went when I was young and we didn't do this stuff. I just mentioned this to my wife last night and she misses it too.

    I hope you have a good trip. I loved being in the Boy scouts when I was growing up. A week at S bar F Ranch every summer!!!!
