Emerald Beach has no courtesy dock & after the water is 925, it's very flat & not deep. Viney creek (both ramps) us closed & will remain closed.

Have a guest this week, had a great morning today. 25+ bass, mix if lm & ks. At least a dozen keepers. 2 went 2 1/2lb. Also 2 whipers & the bonus 5lb walter. Deep fish in channel swing. Schools kept moving in.

There are NO fish at Emerald Beach.

And this is the product of bass fishing today. I guess I need to learn to identify those hooks too. Released to find another day.

Thanks. We were jigging for bass with swimbaits off a bluff near Pt 24. Hit somewhere between 30 & 40 ft. Sure was a surprise.

We tried this technique earlier this week. We'd lost one of the two flutter spoons we had with us. I tied on a small white jigging spoon. Caught none when throwing into a school but did catch some laying low around the active school. Better fish than those active ones.

Good job. Yes! Gotta trust those electronics. Down & side scan really helped us. Early morning, we are getting keeper k's & good lm's when we find the baitfish. Did get a 3lb smallie Sat morning & a shortie brownie yesterday. Fishing in 30 to 40 fow with trees.

Been catching plenty of lm & keeper k's using small swimbaits & jigging around shad balls. 20 to 40 fow. Some topwater early but the bigger fish seem to have moved out & down.

Fished about 2 hrs this morning. 12 fish, 5 keepers. Biggest was over 3 lbs. All the littles came on the wp early. Once that bite stopped, switched to a bigger swimbait. Fishing deeper & they slammed it. All males with beat up tails. Another good morning.

Between pts 23 & 24. Sorry, it's one of those secret spots everyone knows about.

Started in the fog, motored to a creek with trees. Caught 2 keepers on the bluff before the creek on a wp. Nothing else on that. Switched to a swim bait. Between the 2 of us we ended up with 21 fish, mix of lm & Kentucky's plus 1 smallie. 16 keepers & the shorties were just short. Plus 2 big whites & a big gar that fortunately spit the lure. The fish were holded up in that area chasing shad. Off the water by 10. Lots of fun.
