Yes it is and no its not.
-
You dont really believe this.

This is another debunked conspiracy theory. There is a reason youtube keeps pulling this garbage. She is a total quack and anti vaxxer and shes had multiple papers retracted, and on top of that she's a thief.
-
Please have this thread shut down. It's terrible.

What?? More wild conspiracy theories from the ultra right wing? That's news!! 🤣🤣 Cmon, you guys aren't that retarded. Here is what i really think happened. Fauci has secret ties to Hillary's underground pedophilia ring, which through a secret email server, along with Chuck and Nancy's permission, bribed the chinese to develop a super virus in their top secret lab to unleash worldwide devastation.

The peer review process weeds out BS by definition. So no, you misunderstood. If I conduct an experiment, and the methodology or results are flawed (i.e BS), then with few exceptions, the paper will be rejected for publication.

By realistic terms, do you mean completely incoherent gibberish? What is your argument here? You've never seen a doctor? You never will? If someone sees a doctor it is simply because they are scared? do you really believe you know more about your body than your doctor? Also, if doctors are a liberal conspiracy, how do you feel about dentists? Do they have some secret agenda?

The reason many in the scientific community condemn skeptics is because, the non scientific skeptics are too lazy to do years of research. If you are skeptical of the current scientific consensus, it is upon you to present your findings to a peer reviewed journal. There is a process by which you can expose the BS, but it involves more work than just throwing your hands up and claiming conspiracy. When you dont follow that process, anyone in the scientific community gets to look at you and say GTFOH! We currently live in an unfortunate age of "anti-intellectualism" (See, Dunning-Kruger effect). Meaning, that too many people don't perceive someone who has dedicated their life to a particular subject, as being more knowledgeable than yourself about that subject. So, its not that anyone would condemn your for being skeptical, but more that you're being disregarded to due to your complete ignorance. Lets put it in more manageable terms. I know very little about outboard motors other than basic maintenance. You fix them for a living. Any opinion I have on outboards, could essentially be completely discounted by someone who actually knows what they are talking about. So, you being skeptical of a doctors advise (or anyone in the medical community), would be like, someone who has never owned a boat before, pretending like they know as much as you, and discounting your knowledge. I think in that instance you could justifiably "condemn their skepticism" or in my case make fun of it.

Eh, factory farmed meat should be hard to come by IMO. Talk about a vector for zoonotic disease transmission. Plus, most big fat Americans could use less cow and pig in their diets and more veggies. Think of this as god telling you to eat more wild game, garden veggies, locally sourced groceries. Lucky for me Ive still got lots of venison in the freezer, several rabbits as well, and all the crappies and bluegills I can handle.

This is way too complicated of a concept for most. It's like taxes. I once had a manager at walgreens tell me he didnt want to get a raise because it would bump him into a higher tax bracket. 🤦♂️

Went to busch yesterday. Man there was lots of people there, so much for social distancing. Anyway, found some privacy at a few of the smaller lakes. Crappie were biting ok swimming jigs and under a cork a few feet. caught maybe 20 or so with a few bass and bluegills too. All dinks. Slower fishing than I expected.

Hopefully guides can start booking trips again soon!

For some reason this absolutely disgusts me. 🤢

They work best for me in dirty water, but banging them around shallow wood in brown water will def catch em. I also have luck winding them through lily pad fields. I love how weedless they are, you can really work them through some thick stuff. I use a 7ft 4, heavy power moderate fast rod with 65# braid.

Potential DD Bass Caught on TR - Not April Fools

No I certainly don't catch bunches of them....but that could be because of my skill level, or lack thereof. Lol. I'm thinking busch wont be renting boats this year, which is a bummer. -

Also that fish is a freaking giant for a table rock bass. That would crush my personal best. -

My experiences have shown that dirtier lakes around st louis hold good bass. I catch 15-20 inch fish at forest park more often than I catch dinks. Lake 33 in busch has huge bass but they are difficult to catch. Same goes for lake 38. I've never caught any bass from unger park but I bet with all the shad and crappie there are some good ones there too. The lakes that have on average 3 or more feet of visibility tend to be overrun with 12 inchers. That said I've been fishing at carondalet the last few weeks, and have only caught sub15 inch fish, I've seen 2 that were much larger. -
Sounds like you boys need to learn how to bank fish.

I have learned that you cant bake the blanks at 180 degrees, or they melt and deform! 140 works ok, just gotta bake em a bit longer. I'm gonna take this messed up one and see how the action looks in the pond by my house. Maybe it works better!
-
Yup...work in the paint lab has been awfully slow, but somehow we're considered essential. So during my time as an essential worker I've been painting up more jerkbaits. They are all predator blanks, which I just love. They work great for me.

Crappie have been biting pretty well. Just outside of spawning banks. Probably 4-8 fow and 1-4 feet down. Swimming minnows and jigs/corks. Lake 6, and 38, but the others are probably working. Looks like the county is closing parks. I wonder if busch is going to close too? It was open as of last Tuesday. Carondalet park is still open. Been catching a few bass there most days. I'm headed to terre du lac to hunker down. I'll be fishing the lakes there and the upper big now. Crappie are biting in those lakes as well.

Can you fish a wart effectively on 28 in the summer? I'm not at that lake too often, but I thought it got pretty covered in vegetation by summer?

What do you look for when you're targeting hybrids? Ive had very inconsistent luck with the whites down there, but when Ive found them it was fun. Ive seemed to had the best luck fishing the mouths of creeks flowing into the river around this time of year, and in the fall, but it is always such a crap shoot.
