Thanks for the info Bill, that's a shame.

Has anybody launched from the Big Creek ramp at the campground recently? Last time I was over there it was closed but I thought I heard a rumor that repairs were in the works. Appreciate any incite.

Can anybody confirm that the ramp at 86 campground is useable with current water levels? Trying to figure out where to put in on Saturday on that end. Appreciate the help!

Fair-Ish. If an MLF series is introduced on TR with the same attendance and payout structure that is currently available, I'm in. Until then, old ways die hard.

If it's a legal means of catching fish in the eyes of the state and allowed by the tourney, I've got no issues. Everybody in the field can choose to use whatever legals means is at their disposal to try and catch the biggest bag. And I would bet that 9 times out of 10, the guy that puts the time in on the water finds a way to get it done over the average joe that just shows up Saturday morning armed only with information gleaned from this forum and/or YouTube fishing reports(which I am more than guilty of). I'm not here to die on "A-Rig" hill. If they want to outlaw it tomorrow for the reasons Fish24/7 mentioned (which is the best argument I've heard against it so far) or any reason, you won't hear anything from me. Frankly, my wallet would appreciate it.

While I can appreciate the sentiment, it took 23lbs to win AIA. I'll agree that the A-Rig will spot you a big one here or there on blind luck but 5 big ones for a winning bag on blind luck is a rarity. Blevins (the team who won) has won AIA on TR 3 times in the last two years (I believe). At this point I don't believe he is he just a regular "rumdumb". He's obviously figured out something that works. And in a tourney where all the anglers are legally allowed to use it, the playing field IS level...Until the guy that has put the time in and that has figured out how to apply it, goes to work. I'm not trying to get into the tourney pros and cons here, that's been debated multiple times. As for the fish care aspect of things, I get your point. The learning of fish care comes with time on the water. They can learn how to fizz a fish caught from an A-Rig just as easy as one caught drop shotting or ice jigging. And they will eventually learn, if it's the hard way or the easy way.

Why? Is your problem with it that it works too well? Are you incapable of throwing it? Can't afford it? You knock it all the time, what's your deal? Your comments on almost everything are usually negative and consistently have a "holier than thou" vibe, who hurt you?

Upon doing a little more research it appears that the US2 is an ok transducer and 83/200 selection is the way to go but many people in similar situations have went back to an externally mounted Lowrance product. Apparently with much better results. Will tinker with the ping settings next time I get down though. Thank you Wrench

Swapped out a Fortrex for an Ultrex yesterday. Loving everything about it but I am having some issues with the built in transducer. Running Gen 2 Lowrances with all of the latest updates. When I went to select a transducer on the graph, the US 2, is not in the list. US2 is what tech support at Lowrance told me to use and assured me it would be on the list. Without it being in the list, I was curious if you gentlemen had any recommendations or ideas? I found a post on another forum from someone asking the exact same question with the same setup. It was recommended to him to use Generic 83/200. This is the current selection I have it on. Works ok but it's having some issues picking up things that are moving to quickly. i.e if I am drop shotting it picks it up fine when my bait is stationary but if I start to jig it at all or reel up it loses it until I pause it. It does track it if I drop it very slowly or reel up slowly. I am guessing that it also wouldn't be picking up streaking fish as well, but that is just a guess. I didn't know if this was a related issue to the transducer selection or if something in my settings is not correct. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Wouldn't know what to hide if I had it! That's all that came with the lot. Can't thank you enough for the help!

This is more or less all of them. I believe a majority are a 6A? Any colors tripping anybody's trigger? Also the one in the 3rd picture is different than the others. It has a little more of humpback and isn't quite the same size as the others, kind of falls in-between. The others have rattles that sound more or less like soft thumps, this one does not have a rattle. Any ideas? Thanks once again for all the replies, has been fun finding out what the heck I purchased!

Spark L Tail sounds like the name I would have came up with just taking a guess! Thanks for all the help! A lions share are Bombers, I'd say I've got about 30~.

What's the easiest/best way to figure out if a bait is balsa or plastic?
