  1. I guess fish24/7 does not run a boat on the lake that has exhaust either.
  2. Thanks that's what I was looking for. My friend and his girl took first this year.
  3. I just deer proofed my raised beds yesterday. with some left over PVC pipe, left over fence 4 x 4 wire and some left over goat panels. worked out well. one area for watermelon and cantaloupes, the other has beets, carrots, onions, romaine lettuce and spinach. Big garden area is already deer proofed. Now though I see I have a big Groundhog that moved into a huge brush pile I have about 300 ft from the garden. He may die if he has a favorite veggie and becomes a meness.
  4. Anyone been out Morel Hunting as of Lately? I am getting the itch. Should be soon here in Hillsboro area. Also going to give the spores you buy this year a try, for hopefully next year Morels. The old legs are not what they use to be. Any tips for spreading the spores here in my woods? They say to soak the wood chips in a 5 gallon bucket over night then toss out in a 4' x 4' area, either in a raised garden or in the woods with oak tree's. Thanks
  5. Ya that will work because the deer will not have to stretch their necks
  6. How was this tournament this past weekend. Anyone know who won? Weight? How many folks fished it? ETC? Thanks
  7. I did a complete figures some years ago. With the amount of sunny days per year, the amount of output, amount of use KW, amount of buy back of KW and over all cost. Plus the years of use. It would take right at 20 years to pay for the use of the solar installed. Not taking in the cost to replace a roof if needed or additional cost of insurance. So the panels were worn out buy the time I paid for them
  8. Ya I remember last year you had to stay to the right backing down.
  9. Ran into a guy today he said Missouri Conservation had posted that the Shawnee Bend ramp along with Coffman and several others, Were short and to be careful, could drop off and damage trailers or boats. He showed me the article but I could not read it because I did not have my reading glasses with me. Anyone know about this or heard anything about it?
  10. Looks windy. Nice fish
  11. Changed my mind for this week, Rain Rain Rain. So I am going to shoot for next week now. Any body know what the bass are biting on
  12. Almanac say Sunday and Monday are good days for the root crops. I am planting my carrots, radishes, some onions, lettuce, spinach and a bunch of beets. I love the beets and will be canning a bunch this year. Have broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, squash, peppers-bell-jalapeno's, sweet, poblano's, all in starters in basement. Tomato's are about 6 to 8 inches tall now and will be ready come May 1st to go in the ground.
  13. Will be crappie fishing some and then bass fishing. How are the bass biting. What would you throw for bass this time of year. I have the crappie figured out. Hoping it does not rain to much.
  14. Either was his fishing partner or his wife probably, so he could not catch any fish and would go home and do chores.
  15. What do you mean Salt the Asparagus? What do you use for your fertilizer on the Asparagus? Also any tips for fertilizer on Strawberries?
  16. And you always have to have soured milk somewhere. I grow for the Joy of it and the fresh veggies that taste so much better than the store bought stuff. And then you have the special helium stuff. You cannot buy some of this in the stores, they are limited.
  17. Darn-it you beat me to this one. Josh Jones caught another one over 14lbs yesterday also, off of OH Ivie. He now has 5 or 6 Share A Lunkers over 13lbs.

  21. Got back last night from our crappie trip. Caught a lot of shorts and 2 limits of keepers. Most on a jig tipped w/minnows. Around and inside boat docks 6 to 12 ft deep. No pictures as I have a dumb phone, sorry. But thanks for your help. We fished mostly the northshore side.
  22. What are you guys/ gals using for your raised beds for cover over the top for a hot bed? Any pictures of them. I have a few idea's but always like to learn from experienced folks rather trial and era. Thanks
