  1. I thought this was a pretty awesome take on the famous Beatles album cover:
  2. I hope not. But the potential exists. We've all heard of people suing for extremely ridiculous things.
  3. What is this algae junk I keep having to pull off my fly when I fish the lower Meramec River? 😜
  4. Lemons. Lemonade. Sometimes cities stock park ponds with them intentionally. Ornamental ponds.
  5. @Ham And look at you! 74! Only 26 left to reach your goal...home-stretch!
  6. @Johnsfolly GO! GO! GO! GO! 🤘
  7. Finding public access to streams is a big issue, IMO. I can understand why landowners wouldn't want the liability of letting folks fish on their property. What if the MDC / DNR used some of their funds each year to purchase more access? Takes the liability away from the landowner, and the trashy eyesore it may become will not be the (former) landowner's problem anymore. Or, as someone else mentioned, change river and stream laws with the stroke of a pen without spending a dollar. Public access between high water/top of bank on all MO streams that typically have year-round flow.
  8. Yes! Rock Bass. 😁👍
  9. I think its a juvenile Northern Watersnake or Common Water Snake?
  10. I hoped to add 5 species to the 2021 list… I ended up adding 8…. So, yeah! I’m very pleased with this trip. 😊

  16. (FND39) Smallmouth Bass (Micropterus dolomieu) Caught some in Iowa.
  17. (FND38) Common Shiner (Shiny nontrare) Caught in Iowa. The left two were sporting a little spawning coloration.
  18. (FND37) Hornyhead Chub (Chubbychecker redtemple)
  19. (FND36) Carmine Shiner I wasn’t sure what this was… I wasn’t fishing for micros, but lucked into one. Consulting with @Ham and @Johnsfolly, the consensus settled on Carmine Shiner.
  20. (FND35) Pumpkinseed Sunfish. (Gourdicus neonfish) Caught in Iowa.
  21. Nice!! I do need to catch some of those! 👍
  22. Modify the regs. You kill it, you keep it and eat it. All of it. Including at tournaments. Group meals for tournament members, their families, and spectators. No culling. Or, if you don't want to eat it... you must clean it, prepare it, vacuum package it and deliver it for use by homeless shelters and food banks. No waste. I wonder if there would still be guys interested in the sport if you put them on a boat on a pond and made them troll around and shoot underwater targets instead of fish?
  23. I caught the Skipjack Tuna. Our friends that live on Maui cut it up in their back yard for us. Very mild, very dark red meat...almost purple.
