    Pickerel

I went yesterday and didn't so much and see one. On the bright side the trout were really biting well.

    Pickerel

I have seen a few small grass pickerel here while trout fishing before. Where and how is the best way to target them?
  3. There will be a modern two lane bridge built upstream of the current wooden bridge which is going to be left in place. Mid-March is too early of an estimated time, survey work was conducted this past week but it will still be a bit before construction actually begins. The 64 bridge over the Niangua river is also going to be replaced at some point, probably close to the end of the year. The park held public hearings and had a survey about the future of the wood bridge last year.
  4. Thanks!!
  5. There are several ramps by docks that appear to be private but are on corps land, can the general public use them & park there?
  6. Hobbytime marine in Bolivar is your new Caymas dealer in the Ozarks.
  7. I have and the extra .5 mph you get on the troller isn't worth loosing top end speed. I can get 3.2 mph with an ultrex and wet cell batteries and thats plenty. I do have a dedicated lithium for graphs/Active Target so there's no voltage drop through the day.
  8. Interstate AGMs for cranking/trolling. Lithium for graphs. Going all lithium causes you to loose too much speed and isn't necessary.
  9. Ultrex is the best TM out there hands down. Doesn't have the stupid arrow like the motorguide and lowrance that always breaks and is by far the most reliable option. Only drawback is that it is slightly slower, 3.2 is about all mine will do.
  10. Spawn is not over, lots of fish on beds still on the lower end
  11. I haven't been out since last week but the water was still below the bushes then. Lots of moss up shallow, especially on the lower end that makes fishing shallow difficult. Caught some offshore but not much size.
