There will be a modern two lane bridge built upstream of the current wooden bridge which is going to be left in place. Mid-March is too early of an estimated time, survey work was conducted this past week but it will still be a bit before construction actually begins. The 64 bridge over the Niangua river is also going to be replaced at some point, probably close to the end of the year. The park held public hearings and had a survey about the future of the wood bridge last year.
