and SIO3, you will call me and we will catch them here in the city on the fly rods.
-
@Flysmallie That is some wicked cool stuff there my friend. Keep it up and I look forward to numerous drone filled pic reports.
-
I wasn't busting your chops Ham. Sorry if it came off that way. Just stating what I have observed and I totally agree with you on the crappie spots.
-
Lucky for you SIO3 my dog is super lazy and would rather go for a truck ride than a walk. Both pics from boat ramp. Now about half or more covered in water. First is upstream to 231 and 2 is downstream toward the confluence. No boats or trailers in the parking lot or in sight.

White bass. When and where they are running and biting are a more closely guarded secret than how sea monkeys work.
-
This is a lot of math. Math is hard.

As of yesterday afternoon you can no longer walk across the river at Flamm City. Water was barely to the bottom of the boat ramp. I'd imagine this morning things are a bit "up and muddy" down here. Can you get all of the trees out before they make it this far downstream? Preshadit.

Flysmallie, that really sucks my friend. I never had the pleasure of scruffing Lilly's head but just knowing she wanted to bite Wheat's face off made her a darn good dog IMO. Get another soon and take him/her fishing. It will be good for your soul. and I'm right there with you brother.

Bronzebacks, Brews, and Other Vices

Well that was super fun! I'd like to see something like this hit the calendar once a year. Good times, lots of great people and info on flies, methods and tactics for smallies. Great job MSA, GTU and Ozark Sweetwater. Nice catching up with SIO3 after an eternity. It also really fueled a fire in me to get seriously more hardcore on bass fishing in general with the long sticks. Especially since the LMs are so close to home to feed the jones. -

I'll be there. -
Here in St Louis, if BP really wanted to ratchet things up a notch or 11 they would close the BP in St Charles, MO and take over the wasteland that is St Louis Mills Mall(where Cabela's is the only thing that has survived Hazelhood) and make that puppy into the ultimate indoor outdoor playground. That might be a bad business move though. Even my company (I can see Cabela's from the dock) is moving out of Hazelwood to Earth City.

Mad skills bro. Mad skills.

Thanks fellas. You have no idea how much I appreciate all the positive vibes. I have an appointment to get my skull jewelry taken out (staple removal) on Monday morning and Tuesday an oncologist visit to game plan chemo and radiation which I'm not super excited about but I'm no quitter. Its just another step in the process of getting back to normal. Well, normal for me. Only having a couple of small problems so far. They had to cut through the muscle on the side of my temple that controls my lower jaw to knock a hole in my skull so I can't really bite or chew very well but that is improving daily. Guinness IS food in case you ever wondered. I also can't pick up anything heavy, bend over, cough, laugh or sneeze without feeling like I'm going to be replaying that infamous scene from the Zapruder film as my brain comes flying out of my melon. I am not legally allowed to operate a motor vehicle or heavy machinery until the middle of May so I'm basically out of work until then. Which has only made my caged animalness that much worse. Winter doesn't really help either. Having my freedom squelched and depending on others for the simplest of things is really frustrating for me. One week from today I'll be at Gateway TU Bronzebacks and Brews at Schlafly here in STL and hopefully by the end of February down fishing at Taney with a group of my buddies. Have a good weekend y'all and if you're in town maybe I'll see you next Saturday. I'll be easy to spot. I'll be the guy with the biggest smile.

When I saw that this morning the first thing I thought was "Where is SIO3 doing his part for the eradication?"
-
No kiddin!?!?! I've been wondering if anyone even bothered going to those spots anymore. The last times I've been the fishing has been "less than stellar". Good to hear there are actually some fish still around. Thanks for the report.

I think my wife gave the surgeon a months boat payment to let her do that to me when I was knocked out.
-
Well boys. Not to brag, but tumor out on Wednesday morning. I was home on Friday afternoon. Here's some gore for you....
-
I think the white bass fly thread has been pretty darn awesome. I plan on chasing some with Wrench(shhhh... he doesn't know) this spring after I get this 4cm alien cut out of my melon in 10 days.
-
It's nice to be seen, Phil. One of these days I'll get down that way again. Hopefully.

There must be something wrong with my phone.
-
Just a few?
-
Daryk and KLiK, I am intrigued by your finding of whites. I go to Flamm City about every weekend. Never fish, just taking Daisy dog for a ride. Y'all ever fish that far down?
-
That is crazy weird Wrench. Glad your buddy is ok.
-
Like spiders?
-
Here's Daisy. She's my best buddy. She'd rather go for a truck ride than a walk. Just like her human. She knows when its the weekend and stays between me and the door until she gets a ride.
