If I remember correctly that is from the Ozark Farmers Almanac, I find it best to plant garden on Memorial Day Weekend, when the sign is right.

If you will simply wait until the crappie are done spawning you will be fine, works every year.

What are the dates? I want in, have some great camp spots that I happen to have a key to the gates.

I have done some late evening into the night and before daylight stuff, usually in combo with white bass. I use clousers on the fly rod, a jig or jerkbait on spinning, if only target Walleye then may go to night crawler on a river rig. I can tell you one thing for certain, if the MDC comes by in that shocking boat just gather your stuff and head home or to a bar, church or where ever it is over for the night.

Since the arrival of cell phones I have been catching well on fly rod on both Swan and Beaver, someone shows up, I tell them what is working, pretty soon it looks like opening day at the trout parks.

The ONLY reason I do not own a drift boat is that I know who would be rowing...... The best oars are the ones someone else are using...... I will be so happy to add you to the list..LOL.... If I were a guide that would be the best out there.... well maybe a Minnkota Ultrex? I do have a few friends who enjoy boat work more than fishing.... I will ask them...OH the Nature Coast.. we need to talk ole buddy...

I have seen a few, but a 20 works a lot better IMO...but you may have a different use, as I have a 17' Lowe paddle jon also that I love.
