Sooo....good day of fishing bad day weighing anything...I am hoping for that participation trophy 🏆 though. But I did stop at the weigh in and I bought the most expensive brat in North America....$12 and it did not include any fries, chips, kiss or a handshake!!! It did come in a nice plastic container with a few condiments though. C4F

A little af6 and man the boats are a buzzing...makes me think I am fishing in the wrong spot as they are all running by where I am at!! C4F

Just checking to see if this is still a go - I see that the chance of rain is right at 70%...showers in the a.m. becoming steady to light in the afternoon. They are predicting a bit of snow up here....doubt it will last long C4F

Well I dropped to 10th place, shade on the dogs butt...I don't think I would have ever picked many of the top finishers since I didn't even know who most were until the week before this tourney. Glad to see Ike get back in the mix C4F

Hmmm....I guess sun does shine on a dogs butt once in awhile...I don't think in all of the years that I have been playing that I have ever been in first....took a screen shot so I had proof!! We will see how well the pick are going forward. C4F

I just checked in on this after a period and it did turn to a different direction than the intended "boy am I glad I got a rod" thought. First I'd like to thank Champ for thinking that I could even catch a fish to cash! Boy would my wife like that part! Then I would not have to lean on the "free rod" comment as much 😉 Second, This is only one of the many times I come to the Rock to fish and I like the format since it gives even the poorly abled a chance - but I also get to talk to a great group of guys, Like last year I met a couple of guys at Dana's that were fishing the tourney and it was great to sit and visit. Much like the OA get together...BTW Quill you need to schedule that. The conservation conversations are very enlightening and educational as each state looks at this differently...like upland bird hunting. SD stocks quite a bit along with private land owners while here in NE they are left to populate on their own. I think it is good to keep talking and thinking about ways to improve - times does not stand still and there may come a person or an organization that can and will make a difference! Got in right at 8 a.m. I noticed that there is only 45 rods when I checked at 9:10 a.m. I am looking forward to the event.... C4F

Had a good couple of days fishing so far....getting out bit before light each morning and throwing either a sculpin jig or the ever infamous pink worm under a float. Fishing the jig size depending on the current and the pink worm depending on the depth. (See Phil's post from Sept. 3rd) Once the sun comes over the bluff it slows down across from the condos, so move down lake. Trout Hollow to Lilley's has produced some nice sized fish....I have been catching and releasing so these are back in the water!! Tomorrow I am going to tie on a micro jig and see what happens! C4F

That sounds like a great morning - with the sun starting to brighten the horizon aroun 4:45 here makes for a great day....now it is 92! And the humidity is thick....perfect fishing weather for sure!!!!! I envy your ability to fish during the week!! C4F
