A lot of good responses here - I think that this has happened to all of us at some time....I have passed and been passed while fishing - if I am catching up to someone I will always ask before passing...up here there are numerous 3-400 acre lakes and being in a metro area there are times that we can be on top of each other.....especially when the Corp. decides it all you can catch crappie week. I did laugh at Champs comment about throwing something at the tourney guy over and over.....I think that would be a hollow sound for sure C4F

Dang it!! If that is the rule then I am a northerner....I am exactly one mile north of the interstate here in Omaha! Also - this is our normal fishin duds...what us nofers like abut it other than being polyester is that it is permanent press!! C4F

I am crazy competitive by nature but Golf is one thing that I wont put $$$ on.....you guys think my fishing is bad! The Big Bass is the only tourney I fish as I just dont have the time to dedicate for a tourney - getting away from work is a real challenge! When I fish I usually am fishing against my self - what did I learn, what did I try that worked and didnt work - - what bait did I buy because I watched it work on TV and it wont work here!!! And why cant I catch a fish every 3-5 seconds like they do on MLF?? I envy you guys that can jump in the truck and be at the lake in an hour or so....maybe someday. By the way I forgot to color out the back ground where I caught my giant fish so I dont want you guys sneaking into the back of Happy Hollow and catch him! Take care all C4F

Well the second day is over and frankly it was fun... I even was able to weigh a fish and it was on the board for a few pico seconds...but they did announce my name for all of Long Creek to hear!! and believe it or not it was caught on the Ned! ....."some one suggested a Carolina RIg" so I did get it out....here is the result.....mind you that is a 7" curly tail worm on the end of the rig!! Just saying.....I think the real reason that I didn't weigh bigger fish is that I forgot my.....Jersey!!!!! I can't think of anything else I would rather do on a weekend - the boys put on a great tourney, took super care of the fish and the free lunch both days was great! Met some great folks both here at Happy Hollow and at the weigh in site, heck I think I said y'all once or twice - sheesh I am getting teary eyed!!!! Thanks internet friends for the nice words - and Mike....he did choose 12 to be fishers of men for sure! That is one cut line I would want to be on! C4F

I have decided to change out my lucky underwear today! so we will see...but I must say it is a beautiful morning as I see the partial moon on the water...you folks are truly blessed to be so close to a great place! For those of you that are going to Church today tell the good Lord that I am thinking about him even though I am not there! C4F

I am not sure if you had a chance to get to the weigh in but when I was there all of the fish looked great - very healthy and fat! A quick weigh and a picture then right in the release tank! m&m you are right - timing is key.....we are almost a month earlier compared to last year. C4F

Soooo I have no issues sharing what worked for me today.....nothing....yep it was tuff for me. I think it all started when I woke up...should have stayed in bed for a bit longer as it was a bit chilly!!! I chose to make a long run across the cove from where I am staying....that was a cold idle!! - I threw a whopper plopper, swim bait, jerk bait, jig, WW, spinner bait w/ swim bait and with out. As I was pondering what I should do next I thought WWDD (what would Dave do) Of course! He would throw the NED - so I did and caught 5 sub keepers.....at least I didn't get skunked. And that was it! - yep it was windy but I did get a nice lunch and watched with envy a few guys weigh 4 - 6lb fish and collect checks.......and then I went back out....did I say it was windy? At one point during the tourney there were so many boats in coves that I went to that there was a guy handing out numbers at the mouth so you would get a turn to get in just like the DMV. But tomorrow is another day and we shall try and try again! Hopefully without so many back lashes this time!!! C4F

Thanks Ketch, Dave and all - Hunter is right the pre fish was tough - even the guys here where I am staying all had a tough time yesterday.....but I think they were getting ready for today by getting into a work out regime for thier winding of big fish in - they were doing 16 ounce curls well into the night And possibly early morning! I have everything that I can think of tied on - so a poor showing won't be for the lack of trying! Take care all! C4F

Evening my internet friends - getting ready for tomorrow...did a little fishing today when I arrived....not catching ...if you are running around and see a gray Z9 stop and say hi! I will be the guy on the front continually picking out my professional overcast.....time after time......

Some one sure has thier crabby pants on - O well - those are some nice looking Bass...I was fishing here today (here being Table Rock) and noticed the lake temps in the coves were in the mid 50's. That should get the spawn kick started :] Be well my internet friends C4F

Has all of the page views of current conditions and the lake map link shot up dramatically the last couple of weeks?....I know that I do go back a read threads if there is a new post but I doubt that I am adding to the page count that much......what O what could be the reason? As the Church lady from Saturday Night Live used to say....."Could it be SATAN?" If not him maybe it could be "The KVD Big Bass on the Rock??"
