if you have a dehydrator, chicken livers dried to the consistency of a gummy bear and put in a ziplock bag of kosher salt for a couple of days. you can add other things like soaking them in soy sauce before you dehydrate them, lots of options, I have also dried them to a crisp and ground them to a meal and a fine dough can be made with that powder a pinch in power bait works on trout even better than unspoken. pealed crawfish tails also are great to dry and add to powerbait for trout

wonder what happened to carls collection???
-
I remember that place, was lucky to get a little tour of his "collection" in todays PC world someone would have a run away yet me and my fishing buddy loved it, how he was able to amass such a collection is amazing...have not been down that area in 10 years

makes you wonder, the old adage " we don't know what we don't know," one day when old secrets come out prob scare the bejesus out of us

up until 1997 we had 165 Minuteman II missile silos in central Missouri many along HWY 54 which was our route on many of our fishing trips to Truman and LOZ. A-10s and a few armed helos patrolled those silos, if you felt like testing your heart you could drive up to get a good look at the "we can kill you for being here signs" and could get buzzed by an a-10 or armed helo.... I think those sites were sold off, would have been a great place to have bought for a prepper.

hey not my fault the guy you posted is a big time carp addict, google his name and carp and images and see how many pages come up, you don't whine about bass posts or walleye posts and you assume people all hate carp or have no interests when that isn't true, beautiful places like blackfoot res in Idaho and beaver island Mi are as iconic carp spots as fork is for bass or Taney is for trout, carp are just another fish to chase albeit one that tends to rip off long runs and keeps fighting long after others come to net, perhaps you should take a trip out west and fish the flats on blackfoot with Jeff and see for yourself why all the hub-bub? I don't blame you for looking down on carp as a sport fish any more than someone has no time for catching huge bluegills and redears (another of my passions) but they don't jump all over the posts, I think its cool that you and your better half go on fishing adventures and more than interested in your flint napping...so at this point I wonder why in all honesty why it twerks your buns so much

I think he has a couple kids as a note he is a well known flyfishing carp angler and has located some classic places great angler

didn't the state say they thought of experimenting with the idea with stocking less fish? or did so by necessity because of the flooding and showed a spike in fish growth? was a thread on that a while back
-
Ideas on the surge of bigger fish? more food, less catch and keep pressure? more dissolved O2?
-
The guy in this video was caught doing that and was reported and apparently received a heavy fine, everyone have a camera so big brother is watching

one of the best muskie lures I ever used was a #5 mepps, the treble isn't big enough but its easy replaced with a 3/0-5/0 full dressed bucktail replacement treble, it will crawl slow with the blade at full spin and will be amazingly snagfree (very full tied) if you drop down from the treble to a 2/0 and go to black blade/black hair its a killer on big brown trout, I suggest pinching down the barbs a bit and its a little less hard on the browns (touch up with a rat tail file) the trick of why this works is it moves slower because of the drag, leave the spinning gear home on this, 6500c-20# test and 7-8 foot flipping stick for 'skis and 6 foot med/hvy and good caster and 12# test with a 4 foot fluro leader for browns as a bonus you will land some dandy bows,

and THAT is the rub, slitting and sinking or "culling" is an expectable part of the Bfing world I have files with over 5000 cases of wanton waste and have documented that here on many occasions, many events that kill and dumpster 100's of thousands of pounds of of carp, bowfin, buffalo gar and catfish The greater Bfing community has many foes not just euro carp anglers, alligator gar advocates, catfisherman, Muskie anglers, coastal red fishermen and of late the sting ray advocates ( the whole maryland fiasco) its too easy for someone with a few too many to make bad judgement, not many methods of harvest can take 400# of fish in a few hours, limits alone would help but your not supposed to harvest more than 20 "native" rough fish in Missouri or 2x that till they are used most or John Q public have issue with wanton waste as bad as silver carp are and are a bane to all sport fishing, the push back on Creve Coeur lake fish removal fish being put in a landfill when the fish could be eaten...even the draining and renovating Schell lake (was to be expected with all the eat the carp campaigns) as far as felicia like many before her the "crew" ran her right off OAF like a few others before her -

there are a few, no fish over 40# at least not yet...takes decades and the right genes to grow a huge fish like that there're a a few public spots here in the states that may produce giants yet those places are highly guarded I will say when that 1st giant gets landed and released it will be worth millions. -
