  1. Too bad you can't use those rainbow minners they got down below the dam at Beaver. At least they'd be good for something.
  2. C'mon now, how was it? Donna and I are going in the morning.
  3. Beautiful ride, balsabee. You are to be commended for caring for it so well.
  4. Thanks, Thumbs. Will grab a demo model next time I'm at Tanyard in BV and hit it on the range.
  5. Actually ordered my two Spinbait 80s from LBF. Glad to hear the good report on them. Always a little apprehensive of using someone the first time.
  6. Pretty sure Donna and I are going to Eagle Rock tomorrow (Sunday). Will advise of any activity involving piscatorial creatures of any species.
  7. I've heard lots of good stuff about those X-Hot sticks. You made a good choice there.
  8. Look out, Thumbs. Don't get me started. LOL
  9. Me three. From what I could glean on the BBC forum, I think it may be the equivalent of having your motor "hopped up."
  10. You jackwagons need to cease and desist with these posts about TW sales and this new tactic and all such as that. You just cost me $30.
  11. Holy moly that is funny. I had to shut it off. All of my office colleagues had to be wondering what I was watching. Dumbass. LMAO
  12. Agreed in full. Those 100-degree July-August days are perfect for chasing a Titleist around the yard.
  13. That's funny I don't care who you are.

For God's sakes are we really talking about KU football? I'm with Babler. Does KU football even EXIST? This weather has to change soon. Next thing you know, we'll be discussing current happenings on Days of Our Lives. BTW, can anyone catch me up on today's episode?

I mostly agree that golf is a warm-weather function, but my deal is this ... I have a super stressful job (quality control manager for a management-training firm) and the older I get, the more that my primary motivation to work is to be able to (1) eat, (2) have food and a roof over my head, and (3) PLAY. Donna can tell you that I will go apesh** crazy if I have to sit in the house more than one consecutive weekend, so we golf or fish pretty much every weekend year-round. I'd like to be able to just vegetate some weekends like normal folks but it doesn't work for me.

Good to hear. I think we will go Saturday. Definitely too cold to play golf. Besides, it's hard to find that white ball in the snow and I'm too set in my ways to play one of those chartreuse ones.
  17. Dang I wish this weather would go away. About ready to pull the trigger on a couple of em.
  18. Yeah, I fell for that tomfoolery, too, Balsabee. All I did was waste some good money and a lot of casts I could've been making with a Fin.
  19. Bo had it right last week. Truck + chain = moved rock and open ramp.
  20. A 20-inch crappie is in the 4-pound class. Ain't a lot of those around here.
  21. LOL, gonna need a bigger tackle room soon. I'm gonna have to add more pegboard to the garage myself.
  22. There's a very good reason that both BASS Elite and FLW Tour series require anglers to compete in the entire series rather than allow single-tournament entries. It's because the anglers (and the organizers) don't want locals coming in and stealing the show. The pros are good, but I wouldn't bet a red cent against any of them short of maybe Snowden against the top guys fishing these winter series and certain other local derbies. The Fann boys are legendary around here. The other three boats who topped 20 pounds yesterday are all strong, too, and Sprint21 holds his own against them all.
  23. I think he was referring to the potential pain of having to re-tie the joining knot for the braid and the leader. Classic, I don't pinch pennies when it comes to line or any of my gear, for that matter. That said, the best darn spinning reel line I've found is BPS Excel in green tint, 6-pound test. Love that stuff.
  24. Good info there, gitnby. Thumbs, I'm not qualified to say anything's a waste of time.Just repeating what some others in the know have said. Maybe Babler will weigh in. He's a float n fly guy.
  25. I believe it, Old Plug. We've had a whale of a winter and I'm afraid it's far from over. LOZ is far from the deepest pond in the world, which probably contributes to the icing nature. Last time I was up there a few years back, it was iced up in all the creeks.
