  1. That's a very nice photo.
  2. I have to fly a lot for work so it never bothers me unless I miss a connection or the weather screws me. I was on a flight once sitting next to a guy that was obviously terrified. We started talking and he told me he was an engineer that designed landing gear. I thought that was funny especially when he told me that he was the most frightened during a landing. I see a lot of scared people and I feel really bad for them. Not much fun when you are terrified. I try to make some of them feel better but most don't seem to care for my plane crash jokes.
  3. I know a lot of people that are scared of flying. But these same people never think about the risk of getting in a car every single day.
  4. I don't care if you tell everybody or not, that is your choice. But you go one week and nobody is there and you catch a bunch of fish, put it out on the internet, then don't be surprised when you go back and people are everywhere. It happens. Geez relax Francis. Some people come on here looking for all this info with no intentions of ever sharing any of their knowledge, they just want yours. Does that suck? Yes. Is it horrible that we can't tell of all of our fishing adventures and help each other out? Yes. But that's the way it works these days.
  5. Wow so many thoughts go through my mind. Probably best I just keep my mouth shut.
  6. Most of these guys are horrible. I can't believe how much smarter they are than everybody, yet they are still on small time radio in Missouri. Guess they are just doing it as a favor to us.
  7. You've done a fine job.
  8. Exactly. But what I meant is don't expect any fish to be there next time.
  9. Sure you should. Just don't expect them to be there next time.
  10. I've got to make it to that event one of these days.
  11. If you want to catch a bunch of whites this spring just follow me. Because I will be following duckydoty.
  12. You were rockin that fro!
  13. I always thought it would be neat to run up the James on a jet ski traveling from fishing spot to spot. If that ever takes off anywhere let me know so I can open a jet ski repair facility.
  14. Sorry to hear that Mic. I got nothing except hang in there man.
  15. Don't get him all worked up on the law. He opposes their existence. Only time I've seen them mess with any body was with a bunch of old creek ho's showing their stuff. I think the only reason they stopped them is because it was creating a pretty big traffic jamb just above the confluence of Jack's Fork. Luckily I squeaked by just in time to not get caught up in it.
  16. I got a text asking the same question. The place Wayne is talking about is the same place I told your partner. You guys have fun.
  17. I agree with all that. I love the section from Round Spring to Two Rivers. It's a beautiful place to catch a smallmouth. And probably one of the best sections of river that I have ever floated. But I'll never go back as long as those jet boats are running it. It's not the guys that are out fishing, it's the guys that are running wide open up the river with their kids, girlfriends riding up in the front of the boat. Some of the rudest people I have ever seen.
  18. Thanks a lot Drew. Now I will have to go see what they have in the store and that will mean that I will walk out with less money than I went in with. And then Freddy's is right next door and I have been trying to eat better. This is going to cause some serious unintended consequences.
  19. It's not so much "what I'm used to" it more of using something of quality that I enjoy using. And I probably look at it a little bit different because most of the fishing I do is out of a canoe these days. But I can tell you the rods that I carry in a canoe don't get anymore abuse than the ones that ride with me in a bass boat.
  20. I never understood the whole beater rod thing. I would carry any rod any where and do. Yep I have broke some really nice rods. But when I'm fishing I want something that I like to use, that I enjoy using. Not saying these two rods are bad, they might be awesome. I'm going to check them out. Of course I'm the guy floating down the river with a ton of camera gear too.
  21. Adhesion is the biggest problem. It's really not the fault of the product it's just one of those perils of repairing plastic. Overall it's a very simple repair that in most cases is stronger than the original plastic, IF you can get good adhesion.
  22. Don't worry, we will take good care of your girl and I won't tell the wife either.
  23. If they are pitted it's an alloy problem.
