  1. When I was in 8th grade I hooked a shad we were using for bait and flipped it up on a rock so a gull could take. He did. I fed him some line and let him get up a ways and then I set the hook. Luckily it didn’t connect but he did take a bit of a tumble before regaining proper flight. I thought it was hilarious. Until I turned around and saw my dad. He was not amused. We didn’t do that anymore.

  3. The youngest and I headed down into Arkansas to do a little sightseeing.
  4. They only had one fish but Jesus turned it into enough for everybody. Or maybe they are buying some of those boxes of frozen fish from Korea.

  6. That lake sucks from the bank. I have years of experience with that. And it doesn’t make any sense.
  7. They were abundant in southern Oklahoma when I was a kid too. I loved those things. Would still like to have another one.
  8. Fishing below Riverton is great. But you won't find any of those trout down there.
  9. I'm sure it will be fine by then. I'm off until next Thursday so it should be high and muddy now thru Wednesday, and then be perfect on Thursday. It never fails.
  10. I'm not sure how it was when he was on the river but I think it will be a few days before you have to worry about dragging now.
  11. I'm sure a saltwater or freshwater fish will eat it just like it is.

  15. I don’t ever remember doing much of anything to the last trailer we drug all over. I bet that thing had close to a hundred thousand miles on it.
  16. Give it a few years and they will get all boats off that lake.
  17. I’ve built some raised garden beds with them and a dog house. But it takes a while to come up with enough decent pieces.
  18. There’s a difference in complicated and time consumption.
  19. They are simple, just repetitive on the steps. But like Wrench I have flies I would rather fish. I don't know if they are better or I just have more confidence in them. I think the most productive fly is the one you like to fish.
  20. They are also a pain in the arse to work with. Getting those pallets apart is no easy task. Well it is with a sawzall but still a pain.
  21. Cans is a big one. Lots of struggles out there for different companies to get cans so they can put their products in to sell. That touches a lot of different industries.
  22. There is a huge shortage of a lot of things that most people wouldn’t consider.
