    Well it wasnt exactly like the invasion at Normandy, but went to Ruark Bluff at stockton this morning and the ramp was closed with a casualy placed road block and a sign. Just drove around it and put the boat in. 6 or so more rigs pulled in and did likewise. When we came back in there was 15 or 20 rigs parked.

    Good seeing you two yesterday! I was ready to shoot myself by 10 am as I hadn't caught 1 bass, just 2 google eye. After 10 it picked up for me and ended the day with 14 or so with 3 keeps. The majority were smallmouth with a few spots, no blacks. All on a jig, a few top fish on the fin and 2 smallmouths on a blade when I swung in shallow and slung it at some shallow bushes. only 3 spots produced fish.

    Yep. They still use the lead pan for tempering. Plus have to add lead from time to time to the zinc pan.

    I only know of one place where there is doe run, and its in Carthage. I used to work there and have handled more of those bars than I care to remember. Good trip Chief!

    I know a lot of times down here by the dam we get tanycomo fog. It drifts over. Otherwise it wouldn't have been foggy.

    Nothing is too high on this lake. Yes you might have to Dodge some debris, but wouldn't freat about it. Perfect bush water right now.

    Why don't they lease these Parks to private enterprise? With standards that have to be maintained. I may be wrong but believe 13 campground is privately leased.I know right now I wouldn't leave my truck parked down there.heard to many stories of break ins and vandalism.

    I have been reading that the 250 SHO needs to run on 89 fuel. Have to ask Howard about that when I take possession. Although 89 still has eythanol.

    I guess I need a posse at the ramps to help me with my stuff. Play some intro music like they do at the WWF matches, but wait, my new boat has a sonic hub in it. I can play it myself through my Lowrance unit. lol . Going to go eat some oysters now and maybe a Perfect Patron.

    When I need money, I go to the Bank of Babler. He has one of those title loan places on the corner of UU and 13hwy. Only 22% interest. Thats why I have to sell my Stratos to pay off my loan before he sends goons to my house ! Your getting an oyster pic tonight. Bon appetite.

    I get about 3 trips on 20 gallons on the boat, sometimes less. Typical run for me in out of the Indians to cow and back, or from Aunts creek to Baxter and back. So about $70 for boat gas not including oil. Thats with a 225 Yamaha HDPI . Mind you I am a 3000- 4000 RPM guy so I dont run hard. For the truck from Joplin and back is about $50. So around $120 for a weekend fishing.

    I am in for steak at noon, and then finding your eye spots for supper ! I will wear dark glasses so no one reckognizes me up in the river. I only need to rods in the back of your boat and before days end you will be saying, I am not worthy !

    Duck, Had the same thing happen to me last week on the top bite. Just for laughs a giggles I picked up a spinnerbait and they hammered it out in 35 ft of water. Half hour later picked up the fin and they liked it better then. Go figure.

    This is good info to know Bill. If what happened to you woulda happened to me I woulda tied a concrete block to my leg and jumped off into the murky deep.

    I have had the chance several times to buy a slip. It would be a big convenience for me but opted out as I know what would happen. We all have to protect our stuff as well as we can. If your going to slip your boat have some good insurance and expect thefts, its a given. Bill has preached these thoughts for years on here.

    A new marina just opened up in Highlandville. He is a Phoenix dealer. Right across the road from the gas station. Tell Howard ,Dennis and Bill sent you. You cant buy a better boat, period.

    Since boat dealers don't dicker much on price warranty might be a bargaining tool for the buyer. Give me the 3 or 5 year warranty or I walk.
