  1. Are you talking about the Head Hunter product? Landbigfish.com carries them for $6.99. And LBF is having a 20% off Easter sale, promo code EASTER21 for anyone that is interested.
  2. I believe there are some restrictions about boat parking in the community he lives in, otherwise I agree, keep it in the garage if possible. But if you can't do that, then it is off-site storage or keep it in a slip. Summer is approaching and the weather should start to stabilize especially early in the morning. You might consider just fishing for a few hours in the early morning thus avoiding the ski crowd. Maybe reach out to the other people in your community and see if there are some other fishermen that you can split trips with? Or if you go for off-site storage it would help to have a regular fishing buddy that can help you get the boat hooked up and launch also.
  3. I lived in Washington when Gonzaga started their rise from obscurity and have always rooted for them since. However I agree on the Timme showboating, the guy needs to stop. Just finished watching the UCLA/MI game (recorded it), great game, MI had some shots at the end, but they could not connect. I'm sure the Zags were very happy to see MI go down.
  4. I didn't add any for no other reason than I wanted to aggravate the situation between Liphunter and SIO3.
  5. You'd think that caught and released fish would get smarter, but maybe not. Miscounted Fish May Be Skewing Population Sizes | Hakai Magazine
  6. Bo, you are tearing them up! I'm going to have to start fishing that full moon night bite myself, but locally - TR is to far for me to drive for a night trip.
  7. Spotting the other team an early lead finally caught up with the Hogs. They got close a couple of times in the 2nd half but could not hit their shots when they got close. Nevertheless, great year for the Hogs.
  8. Thanks for the report - the downside of nice weather is the water skiers start appearing.
  9. NCAA regulation is a joke these days, the money is just too big, no way they are going to kill the golden egg laying goose.
  10. They did list it as 2 days, but it was under MLF College/HS. I thought it would be a 2 day tourney myself with college and HS both fishing at the same time. But it was 2 separate one day tourneys, one for college, one for HS under the MLF umbrella.
  11. That was it, SIU won with 19 and change. High school division went yesterday, winners had 17 and change.
  12. Saw a post on another site that claimed the Texas Bass Champs tourney this weekend on Fork had 1,700 boats registered. Two man teams are for the most part required. Supposedly a 15 and change weighed in for the overall big bass lead.
  13. Hogs game starts at 8:57 PM CT tomorrow. I'll be recording it, watch it Tuesday AM, won't be able to look at any social media or TV Tuesday AM until I watch the game so that I don't see the score before I have a chance to watch it. Baylor favored by 7.
  14. Thanks for the report!
  15. That is true, making to the Elite Eight makes this a successful season for the Hogs no matter what happens against Baylor. Yurachek has already committed to giving coach Muss a significant increase on his contract as he should. I was reading where Muss in 13th on the list as far as salary amongst SEC men's hoops coaches.
  16. I watched one of those Texas Team Trail deals (don't know if I have the name right) where they fished Rayburn. Something like 500 boats in the tourney. They showed a drone view of the launch, looked to be a hundred boats idling in the cove where they launched, it was still twilight and it was just a sea of lights. Rigs backed up on the entrance road waiting to launch as far as you could see. I just don't see how that can be any fun, but to each his own. They showed some fishing too, and there were boats everywhere out on the lake.
  17. Yeah I have to agree with that, they were taking a lot of bad shots when there wasn't any reason to do so, shot selection was terrible especially in the first half. I watched the Baylor game against Nova too, Baylor looks scary good. They have got some athletes on that team that have great basketball skills. Also watched that Loyola and OSU game. Thought it was funny that OSU found a 100 year old fan to counter Sister Jean.
  18. Local place has a deal that if you go over there at 4:45 PM you can get a shot if they have any leftover from people that did not show for their appt. Use it or lose it. I have an appt. for April 16 for my first one.
  19. Well actually it is a dip recipe, but some of the guys at the OA One Bass thought it was potato salad. Anyway, several guys asked for the recipe. Jalapeno pepper dip. Two 8 ounce packages of cream cheese 1 cup mayo 1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese One 4 ounce can chopped green chiles 4 ounces diced Jalapeno peppers Mix well, put it in a pie plate, sprinkle with shredded Parmesan cheese Cover with Panko bread crumbs Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes until golden brown Get some Fritos and start dipping!
  20. I think it is a one day deal, well for the college group - tomorrow it's high schoolers.
  21. Fished out of Tom from Eagle Rock's boat today, found out my trailer has a leaking seal on the inside of one of the rear wheels so it is out of commission until it gets fixed. It is good to have friends that will take you fishing when your boat is sidelined. This was one of those days where we worked for our fish, never found any hot spots and would have long periods of no bites, but we did get some here and there. We caught 30 bass (5 keepers), a couple of short walleye and a white and a nice crappie. I caught a one pound largemouth on my first cast of the day using a spinner bait and never got another bite on the spinner bait all day, bass fishing can be a funny thing sometimes. I don't recall catching any fish deeper than 10 feet, we did get a couple of keepers early with the boat sitting in 30 feet and throwing up onto a shelf that was out off the bank a ways, but only about 10 feet deep. We caught a lot of our fish shallow on the Rock Crawler and the 2.8 Keitech, up in that stained water with wind on gravel and some buck brush around. A few jig fish too. Tom saw the WT hit 56 in some of that shallow water. Lots of boats out there.
  22. There was an MLF sponsored college tourney today - winner had 19 pounds and change. Tomorrow there is an MLF high school tourney. Quite a few boats up the White today, but couldn't tell if any one of them were fishing the college deal.
  23. Way to go, you folks got some chunks!
  24. I've been itching to get back on the Big Lake, there was a pretty good bass bite here on the Bella Vista lakes so that and weather has kept me off the Rock for a couple of weeks, finally made it over yesterday. I have some pre-spawn spots that I can almost always find bass on this time of year, but they just weren't there yesterday. The water is pretty stained, pea green soup in color, and that seems to have pushed the fish much shallower than I thought they would be. It took me a while to figure that out so lost valuable fishing time trying to find them. Got a few early on a Shad Rap, one was a keeper sized smallie, the rest were 10-12" spots. Had one fish hit the Rap and just about yank the rod out of my hands, it pulled drag for a second and was gone. About 10 AM I realized what I was doing, throwing the Rap, swimming the Keitech deep, and dragging the Ned was not working, I was getting one every once in a while, but not getting the number of bites I'd like to get this time of year. Out of desperation I decided to fish a gravel point that the wind was blowing across, I was hoping for some walleye action, didn't expect any bass. Threw a Keitech up shallow, and got a keeper spot after about 2 cranks on the reel. Got 4 more spots off that point, nice 14-15" fish. Spent the remaining three hours I had left bouncing around to gravel banks and points that had wind and would usually get a bite or two off each spot. Never got any more keepers, but had some fun with the spinning tackle. Saw water temp at almost 53 and that was out off the bank a ways. A lot of bass boats out there, I checked the MSP regatta listings and there's a 100 boat permit for an MLF/FLW tourney this weekend that starts Friday. Quite a few other tourneys too. Better bring your own brush pile if you plan on fishing the Rock this weekend.
