  1. That E bucket is a tough one, bunch of guys I never heard of.
  2. Texas Fest this week, time to get those lineups in. Is this a 4 day or 3 day tourney?
  3. Very nice, accidental walleye fishing has been good this year, I would think you guys that target them will be doing good.
  4. Maybe there is room in there for a few more burials? Good to see you got some action on the Ned, It hasn't worked too well for me lately.
  5. Pollen is bad here in Bella Vista too. Walked the dog yesterday and the stuff got in my eyes, I hate it. Won't stop me from fishing this week however. So, see any shad spawning yet? Shouldn't be too much longer.
  6. Congrats on your retirement!
  7. Nice looking truck Dutch. I have a 2010 F-150, I am hoping I can get another 5 years out of it, new truck prices scare me.
  8. Thanks for the update, very nice largemouth. Dang goggleye, if you guys didn't post pictures of them I would not believe they existed in TR, I have never caught a one.
  9. This has been the best winter/spring I have ever had on this lake. We're seeing the fruits of the high water springs we have had that result in good fry survival. Now that the lake is high again, I hope they keep it that way for a bit and we should have another good year for spawning success. The fish are pretty close to the bank, won't be for long I don't think.
  10. I went over to Beaver today, didn't launch until 10 AM, so if there was an early AM top water striper bite, I was a bit late for it. Rain in the area kept me at the house. Smallmouth bite was the best I have ever experienced on Beaver. 3.3 Keitechs on 1/4 oz heads - Beaver is always a bit different than TR, but I have to think that down on the lower end of TR you could get some brown fish right now.
  11. Smallmouth are biting, better than I have ever seen on this lake. I caught more smallies yesterday in one day on Beaver than I ever have in one day on this lake. 3.3 Keitechs on 1/4 oz heads on rocky banks. I encourage everyone to practice catch and release when it comes to smallmouth, the numbers are strong, let's keep it that way.
  12. I think they are about done spawning, a lot of them had beat up tails. It would be interesting to know how many Keitechs HLS sells, I was in the store a few weeks ago and the 4-side Keitech rack was practically right in front of the door, had to walk around it to get to the back.

  14. Well thanks for the compliment Mr. Babler, but I know that you can out fish me on the White any and every day. I just try and keep up (and fail miserably). I like my boat, no plans to sell it, I am hoping it is my last one. When I get too old to push the fiberglass around I may go to an aluminum, but hopefully that day is still a long ways out.
  15. Well shoot dude, it's tough netting a big trout when you have you have to use a minnow dip net. 😁 Good video Seth, thanks for posting!
  16. Gary, you have my condolences also. And if Lake Lover is not available, I'd be happy to show you some fishing spots on the upper end.
  17. I have seen Bill's boat, front deck is like the deck on an aircraft carrier, it is big.
  18. We caught a couple of 5 lbers on top Monday AM, and had I had another one that was a real striper that took me into the trees and broke me off. There weren't a lot of them up, we were just lucky to be in the right spot. May, in my opinion, is the best month for top water action in the lower end of the lake. Helps to have a calm day where you can see where they are at, then if you can sneak up on them and get a top water in front of them, there's a good chance they'll eat it.
  19. Well good to have you back, and you're not the only one to have problems. Phil has been working with the support people to get things fixed.
  20. Yes sir, it rained for a bit here this morning too. I'm going somewhere tomorrow just can't decide where. I'm leaning towards Beaver, might get an early shot at some top water stripers, then target smallies later in the morning. Hate to pass on TR, but maybe next week.
  21. Just got a couple of PM's over on the BBC forum from guys that cannot access OA, I asked them to let me know what devices they are using.
  22. I think it is that time of year, and hopefully the bite will get better soon. Lots of little shad up shallow. Bigger shad should spawn soon.
  23. It was still there last year, haven't been in that cove since then.
  24. Launched the boat at 0600, clear skies, just a little bit of a breeze in spots, water was greenish stained with 6 feet or so of viz, with scattered debris floating around. Mike M was in the boat with me. We went up Indian creek a ways intending to bass fish, but we started seeing stripers chasing shad on top, so needless to say, we started throwing top waters at them. Had some pretty spectacular blow ups on the walk the dog baits, but most were missing the bait, had a couple knock my spook three feet in the air, always fun just to see the blowups. We boated a couple of 5 pounders, and I lost a bigger fish in the trees. The stripers stopped once the sun hit the water, so back in the cove we went to bang the cover for bass. Couldn't find much of bite shallow, we caught a few spots on various baits, c-rig lizard, shaky head mainly but just weren't getting a whole lot of action. We decided to fish some bare, rocky smallmouth banks with Keitechs and we started to pick up a fair number of smallies, Mike caught one that was just short of 18" and had another to the net that got off that looked to be a bit bigger. For whatever reason the smallies were up shallow, 3-10 FOW for the most part. We ended up with about 25 bass, maybe 7 or 8 keeper sized smallies. Water temps got as high as 68, air temps hit 88 when we left.
  25. Launched at 0600, sun was already just about over the hill by then, looks like I'll have to get there earlier in the future, love the early morning fishing. Had a really good top water bite early, it lasted until about 9 AM. Fish were in front of the buck brush. Walked the dog, Yellow Magic Havana. Put about 15 top water fish in the boat, had another 10 or so toss the bait, and probably had 50 blow ups total, maybe more. Lots of fish missing it. Not for lack of effort, they were really trying, some pretty neat blow ups, I enjoyed it, but there were a few good ones I would have liked to have boated. Caught several keepers, smallies and largemouth, saw one big largemouth that rolled on the bait a couple of times but never grabbed it. They just shut off at 9 AM, I mean it was like a switch was thrown or something. Fished Keitechs for a while, never got much going on the Keitech, caught 5 bass on it. Carp are spawning, bluegills are on the bank now, I saw surface WT of 71 when I left. Water is stained green around point 23, up by point 25 it is stained brown.
