  1. It is always good to be out fishing, but I'm starting to get a little mad at these fish. I think a lot of people were thinking Sunday would be some good fishing as there were a bunch of boats out there. I'm sure there were a few that got into them.
  2. Tough day again, I thought it would be on with the cloudy weather. Caught a keeper smallie and spot on the Ned, and another 8 dinks. Got nothing on the moving baits. I even got desperate and started scanning the depths, I did run across some shad in 50 FOW and a few scattered fish, but they weren't interested in anything I dropped on them.
  3. I click on Gallery and get the following message: [[Template gallery/front/browse/index is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]]

    River Report

    Good deal Trophy.
  5. Richy611 - if you want to join us Tuesday evening, that would be great. I have about a half dozen questions on how to fish those swimbaits.
  6. Sam, as Ham said, if you want to talk other species, just set up a time and date for your chat.
  7. Great report, thanks for sharing!
  8. Dang Bo, you are hammering them. Heckuva nice 'eye also.
  9. My neighbors mom is absolutely certain she saw a mountain lion in her backyard here in Bella Vista. Must be thousands of those cats running wild in the Ozarks, as it seems everyone but me has seen one. If you are seeing "black panthers" (and not the Huey Newton - Bobby Seale type), they have to have been domesticated and either escaped or turned loose.
  10. Yes, lots of them up the White river channel also. I haven't seen any gulls up there however.
  11. All you can eat shrimp buffet for the trout.
  12. I'll have to read that one, always had an interest in the history of organized crime. I read Unbroken, amazing what Zamperini endured. The Japanese treatment of allied POW's was truly brutal. I wonder if the movie glosses over all that.
  13. Well the Shadow Rap did catch a few fish, so it seems to work. I didn't think it had a lot of built in action, I had to snap it pretty good, on a bit of slack line, to get some action out of it. I was using the deep version, maybe the shallow runner has more action. It does slowly sink, at least in 62 degree water, when it is colder it may suspend. I'd say it is a bit of a slower sinker than the weightless fluke. Also, I was using 10 lb. Invisx, might suspend on mono. It is one of the few out there (STX is another one) with an Orange Belly, Stain Reaction type color like Megabass has. Tackle Warehouse Black Friday sale is coming up - 20% off this year.
  14. Crappie and flathead - I am looking forward to it!
  15. It was breezy out there today, fishing was spotty, got a few smallies on a Rapala Shadow Rap, one went about 3 lbs. Caught a couple of Ned fish. Windy banks were the best locations, but tough to fish. Water temp is 62-63.
  16. Looks like we may have 9 Friday night, might end up with a couple of guys sleeping on the couch or floor. I'm going to bring my dog, so I'll be in the den area on the futon near the dog, who will be in his kennel.
  17. Shouldn't we do the chicken Thursday night as Friday will be the fish fry?
  18. Yeah I remember we had a pretty good cold snap last year, I think it was in early November.
  19. Nice healthy looking fish.
  20. Welcome!
  21. I can bring the red taters for the Friday fish fry.
  22. Lost power for about 2 hours.
  23. Time to start getting the menu together. I believe Brett has generously offered to fry fish for Friday night. I can bring cole slaw, macaroni salad, catsup. I can also bring paper plates, paper towels, and plastic forks etc. Any ideas for Thursday and Saturday nights? I can also bring some Hostess doughnuts and bananas for breakfast. Do we need to bring coffee and filters? I can't remember if that was supplied with the lodge.
  24. Called Rileys today and booked us in the Cedar Gables place, which is the one we had for Jigfest #1, and I believe you are stayed there last year for Jigfest #2. They quoted me pricing, $220 for the first night, and $235/night for Friday and Saturday nights. I believe we have 5 staying Thursday night so that works out to about $44/person, Firday night with 7 it is about $35 per person, and again with 5 Saturday night works out to $44 each. I forgot to ask them, but I don't think they take credit cards.
  25. Look up at the top of the page, 2nd toolbar, has a tab labeled chat. Click on it and you will see an option to "accept and enter chatroom". Click on it and you will be in.
