  1. What nights do you guys want to stay? Are we talking Friday and Saturday nights, does anyone want to come in Thursday night?
  2. Gave you a vote, I like the originality.
  3. Nice fish Dan - Now I know how to find your spots, look for the guy in the chartreuse shirt - should be able to spot you from along ways away.
  4. 5 days to here, and it is every time. Only time I have experienced slow shipments in when they have a big sale. I'll usually pony up the $5 and get it here in 2 days. If it leaves TW the day your order it and it takes 7 days to get to you, it's something to do with the shipping company.
  5. Well, looks like 12/3 is the date. We'll need to have everyone state what night(s) they'll be staying so we can figure out what place to rent. And we'll have to get a handle on who is bringing what as far as food and boats.
  6. Depends what you want to defend yourself against, grizzlies? Humans?
  7. That is it, when it comes to money, people are going to want to see the fish. And in the big money tourneys there is the drama of the weigh in.
  8. Didn't mean to imply that I would not give money to charitable causes, but that would require more thought on where I would send it. And this is all daydreaming anyway, I'll never have anything as far as money that is even remotely close to JM money.
  9. Yep, I'd have a boat and a house on a lake in the south somewhere. And probably another set-up some place north like Sturgeon Bay. And I would have at least a 640 acre section in South Dakota where I'd have my own lodge to stay at and have the rest of the land set up for pheasant habitat. Heck, make it 2 sections. Of course there would be jaunts to Alaska and Montana.
  10. Well, from what I can tell, it is either the weekend of 11/12 or the weekend of 12/3. Either one, someone will not be able to go. But, we'll never find a weekend that everyone can make it. Seems like those 2 choices are the ones that work best for the most people. But, how do we decide which weekend? If we're going to go 11/12, we should probably get decided on that soon.
  11. Yep, chunk of change for sure.
  12. If I'm reading the article referenced by the link below correctly, Cabelas got over 5 Billion for their CC operation. Also looks like Goldman Sachs fronted Johnny a couple of billion for the purchase. Of course, Goldman will want a return on that, which leads to speculation about an eventual BPS IPO. https://www.bloomberg.com/gadfly/articles/2016-10-03/why-cabela-s-reeled-in-a-better-than-expected-price-from-bass-pro
  13. I made a right out of Big M instead of going left so I never made it down to the Pt. 23 area.
  14. Nice brown one.
  15. My struggles continue, caught 5 bass today. Got one LM that was 3 lbs. on a swim jig and one that was about 15" that ate the swim jig also. Got 3 on a size 90 Whopper Plopper, all shorts. Probably has at least another 1/2 dozen try and grab the Plppper, but they seemed pretty uncoordinated this morning and had issues grabbing the lure. Swings and misses. Monarch butterfly migration is going on, noticed some flying south today. Pretty amazing that they can flutter along like that and make it to Mexico for the winter. Quite a few predator type birds around, eagles, red tails, and an osprey or two. Water temp was 75-76.
  16. Makes me wonder if the Cabelas in Rogers will become a BPS outlet. I assume they are going to consolidate all the products under one name. Might be some good close-out sales at Cabelas in the future.
  17. Nice smallie!
  18. Dang fog. Nice keeper, water temp has really dropped.
  19. Congrats on the win, and, from what Pepe is saying, congrats on having a son!
  20. Good deal Bo! I tell you, I am fine with them coming off at the boat unless it is a really big one. Saves a lot of trouble and potential for hooks finding human skin.
  21. The weekend of the 12th or 19th of November would work for me. Better chance of decent weather that time of year also.
  22. With my knee replacement on 12/7, I'm out of this if you guys are going to push it past the weekend of 12/3. I could make an early February outing if ya'll want to push it that far. Regardless, someone needs to plant a stake in the ground and set a date, and then make it happen.
  23. My guess is that they will also use those long rods to sling big cranks like 10 XD's. With the right set up you could launch one of those things a mile.
  24. My guess would be that it is not allowed, but give them a call. 417.895.6880.
  25. Cameramen and marshals are going to need to start wearing helmets and body armor. Or they can allow 30 foot long bass boats to give the room the pros are going to need for their back casts to avoid hitting anyone else in the boat.
