  1. Should be a pinned thread above with dates and rules, but dates are from 10/30 5 PM to 11/2 8 AM (CT).
  2. I'll post this one for Ham of a nice redear he caught.
  3. Reply to this thread with something along the lines of "I am in". Entry fee is a donation to a charity of your choice and any amount you choose. Christian Action Ministries is a great charity to donate to and their web site makes it easy. Deadline to sign up is 5 PM October 30. http://christianactionministries.org/main/
  4. Ok, have set it up for the weekend of the 31st of October.
  5. This tournament shall run from 5 PM CT on October 30th to 8 AM CT of November 2nd. Same rules as tourney number 2. New Rule - I will create a sign up sheet in this forum. You must sign up prior to the tournament start time (5 PM on October 30). As a condition of signing up, we ask for a donation to a charity, in any amount you wish to donate. We have a virtual tourney where you take photo of your bass on a ruler and in short, the longest bass wins. Has to be a black bass, smallmouth, largemouth, spotted bass or a hybrid of these species. I'll open up a thread in this forum where you can submit photos. Make sure you get the full-length of the bass on a ruler. Make sure it's a good photo so the length on the ruler is readable in the photo. Starts Friday at 5 PM Central Time, October 30 and runs until 8 AM Central, November 2 which is a Monday. Photos must be submitted in that time frame in the thread I will open in the Fishing Events Forum. By accepting to participate you agree to be upstanding and honorable in your submission of the picture. Fish must be caught in public waters On photos submitted you must specify body of water, so we can verify that it is a public water. If it is something that you need to keep secret, then we'll accept a PM the judges attesting that it was caught in a waterway open to the public. Gradiations on the ruler must be visible in the photo, and the ruler must cover the entire length of the fish. Also state the length of the fish along with the photo. We will start a thread in this forum before 5 PM on Friday the October 30. In that thread we will specify a number, that number must be included (written on a piece of paper) in the photo of your fish. Also we will start of thread for submission of photos. Artificial lures only. Fish must be live when photographed. Participation is limited to OA members or their spouses and children. Should we have a tie, we'll have a 3 person panel make the call.
  6. When they bought Norman that was the death knell of the green pumpkin and watermelon colors I like on Deep Little N's.
  7. I have been checked twice at Table Rock, once a the ramp and another time out on the water. Kind of boring, they ask to see my license, I show it to them, and they leave. They haven't even looked in the live wells. Still have yet to be checked in Arkansas - I've seen the wardens out on the road, but have yet to be checked. They have a somewhat beat up bass boat they work out of and you wouldn't notice it is them from a distance. However to Al's point, it would seem to me that a more visible presence would help deter people from making game violations.
  8. Nice smalls buddy! Haven't caught a good one myself in a while.
  9. Saw this today, what a coincidence!
  10. Several teams did really well, but overall looks like it was tough fishing. Didn't print the 2nd page of results, not a lot of fish weighed once you get past 40th place.
  11. Well I am thinking weekend of the 31st of October. Was waiting to see if there was any interest in having another one.
  12. The deceased will no doubt have a toxicology report done by the coroner.
  13. Couple of goats on one of the overpasses on I-49 south of Fayetteville. News says they were 'euthanized'. Too bad, AGFC missed out on a chance to make some revenue issuing goat permits.
  14. It was cold and foggy this morning, 52 degrees when I launched. Fishing on this lake continued to be tough for me, caught one keeper and a couple of shorts on a squarebill. I stubbornly stuck with the squarebill all morning, covered a lot of water with the bites being few and far between. Still some scattered fish chasing small shad out in the channel. Quite a few small shad up on the banks too, but I'm not seeing any bass on the banks chasing them.
  15. Once, about 7 or 8 years ago. Caught some spotted bass on worms. Beautiful lake, bluffs on one side with lots of timber, other side the banks aren't as steep. I would think the gill fishing should be good.
  16. Yes it is not some sort of super dangerous spot, certainly you have to pay attention when making that turn, but it is not some kind of scary white knuckle deal. It's on the main White river channel and sees lots of boat traffic during the summer. I haven't heard of a crash there until this one. Hard to know what happened in this case, I am hoping that the survivor recounts what happened so we can all know and maybe learn something from this tragic accident. And as Bill says, if you are going upstream, staying to the right, there is plenty of visibility.
  17. It is more of a case of them finding me. Of course, if I really went looking for them, I would never find them.
  18. Tuna steaks are awesome! If you guys are going to stay at Erik's place then somebody needs to take the lead on getting it organized on how many can stay and so on. I nominate Erik as he is of course in tune as far as capacity and what ya'll will need to bring. So it's on the weekend of 12/12 staying at Erik's? Again I'm fine with it, but we should make a decision one way or the other.
  19. Can you come up with something that scares white bass away? 😄 I used to like fishing for them, but got burned out on them. Now they just get in the way.
  20. You can buy 25 lb. bags of fish feed from Tractor Supply. You have to be consistent, go to the same place every day at the same time and throw some food in there.
  21. I had heard it was on the turn near Emerald Beach. Certainly is a place that a driver needs to be wary of when traveling through.
  22. KY3 news update. The Missouri Water Patrol is investigating a deadly crash after two bass boats collided on Table Rock Lake. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a father and son from Gentry, Arkansas were killed in the crash. Investigators say Ted Dossett, 55, and his 14-year-old son died from injuries. Next of kin have been notified. Investigators say the crash happened in the Viney Creek Area around 7:30 a.m. Friday, less than a mile west of Point 24. That area is north of Golden, Mo. near Emerald Beach. According to MSHP, an unknown factor caused one boat, driving two people, to cross the path of a second boat. The boats hit head-on. One boat launched over the other boat.
  23. Do you guys want to stay at Erik's place? I'm OK with that, but we need to decide so we can let Miles know one way or the other.
