  1. I'm no expert on birds by any means, so I did a search on White Pelicans - apparently they migrate through this area.
  2. While motoring up the White river channel yesterday morning, saw a flock of White Pelicans near Eagle Rock. First time I've seen them on TR.
  3. I heard it was an A-rig or die tournament.
  4. I waded through about half of the PDF document. They did this survey on the Kings river. Their reasoning was that the Kings had less boat traffic and less angler pressure compared to the rest of the lake. I don't know if I agree with the part about less angler pressure, it always seems to me that there are more boats in the Kings relative to the rest of the lake, but maybe I am wrong. I wish they had used a section of the lake that is more comparable to the overall lake rather than the Kings. Boat docks are the preferred habitat over natural structures or placed habitat structures. By a ration of 1.5 to 4 times.
  5. I'm grabbin' my straw hat and one-suspender bib overalls and heading to Hardy to see if I can get me a part in that series. Pays more than running shine from what I hear.

    Very nice!
  7. Well let's hope. They've got a bad habit of choking in key games. They could've beaten Mizzou, they could've beaten FL in Fayetteville. They're vey frustrating to watch.
  8. I'm thinking carp also, I've snagged one or two in the past on a JB. I've caught a couple that have had the JB in their mouths, very disappointing when you think you've got the 9 lb. bass on and it turns out to be Ol' Buglemouth.
  9. Welcome!
  10. Man that is sweet!
  11. Yeah they are on life support as far as making the tourney, but if, and it's a big if, they could beat KY, that would be huge. I haven't checked the KY/FL score yet.
  12. Started out with low expectations today, and they were met. Fished 6 hours for 3 bass, 2 LM's and a spot. All came on tubes, fished 20-25 feet deep on secondary points. No bites on the chunk rock banks. I did make contact with something on a jerkbait. Don't know what it was, had it on for a second and came away with a scale the size of a fingernail on one of the trebs. Water temps were 37 - 39. Still a little ice in back of some of the coves. Big M launch is ice free. I zoomed up on a couple of guys pulled in tight to a bluff, didn't see them until I was about 50 yards away. If you read this, you have my apology. It was unintentional.
  13. Ahhh, Wolf creek, I did a software install there a few years ago and gazed longingly out the window at that lake. I believe at the time they only let a few boats a day fish it, people made reservations months in advance. Pretty much catch and release at the time, the fishermen that worked at the plant raved about that lake. They said however that they were going to do away with the reservation system because guys who waited months to get on the lake would go no matter how nasty the weather. The rescue folks were getting tired of fishing fishermen out of the lake who got caught out in nasty winds and got in trouble. Would love to fish it some day, but it's a few hours out of my range.
  14. This study was done on TR? If so, I'll have to find a copy.
  15. Another vote for the Paca chunks as jig trailers. Caught some good fish pre-spawn last year on 5/16 oz jigs with Tiny Paca chunk trailers.
  16. Never heard of them, but they sound like fish catchers.
  17. So they were there because of Michael Sam? If so, just confirms my opinion of them being a bunch of jackasses. Glad to see the Mizzou folks handled things with class.
  18. What's up with the WB Church? Were they at the game? Why the heck would they show up at a college BB game? Great game by the way, I thought the Vols were going to wear them out physically in the 2nd half, but Mizzou hung in there.
  19. You aren't kidding - fish all over that screen shot.
  20. Look up in the For Sale section - a group of reasonable pre-rap Warts, they need paint, but a good price.
  21. Yep surprised they haven't been snapped up.
  22. Curious how much they were asking for them?
  23. Very nice!
  24. It seems they are all over the place, which is great!
  25. Thanks for the report, good to hear they are a least showing a little interest in the jerker.
