  1. Looks like some great water and not another boat in sight.
  2. Yep the prosecution is going to have a tough case. If it goes to trial. Could be a plea bargain, especially if the prosecution thinks they have a weak case.
  3. I don't see how disease spread could be a problem as they are in the hatchery, so if they (Brookies) caught a disease it would come from..?? Brookies have been stocked in the White below BS quite a bit, didn't cause any problems and made some folks happy that wanted to catch a brookie.
  4. 2 springs ago I was fishing in my buddy Jeb's boat on Beaver, I had just caught a keeper sized walleye on a jerk bait, checked my line, it was OK, made another cast, twitch, twitch, paused the bait back to the boat, and gave it one final pause right at the boat where I could see the bait. A big fish appears out of nowhere, all I could see was the head, and the jerk bait disappears as the fish inhales it. Lift the rod, line seperates with little pressure just like it had been cut. I didn't get a good look at the fish, but I'm convinced it was a big walleye. Every once in a while, especially on TR, I'll get a bite, lift the rod and the line seperates, I'm convinced it is not because of frayed line or bad knots, it's cut. I blame it on walleye, but it could be something else I suppose. Could be gar, but I've had it happen when the water is cold and the gar are not active.
  5. The winner gets a boat, a Nitro I believe. I'm curious how that works, do they have to take delivery of the boat or can they get cash equivalent? A lot of those guys already own boats that they like so you'd think, they'd rather have cash.
  6. A few guys did well, but overall looks like the catching is tough. Co-anglers are really having a brutal time. http://fishpaa.com/2013-table-rock-results/
  7. No prob Bill, lots of different opinions on this subject.
  8. Sorry to hear the bite is tough. I haven't been out this week, might give it a shot next week, but I sure would like to see this high pressure system get out of here.
  9. I'm trying to figure out why they would NOT release them?

If he's just had an affair, he'd probably still be at Arkansas. But he was boffing an employee of his, she probably would not have been hired if it wasn't for her relationship with Spitino. So money is involved, (her salary) and it's public money, taxpayer money. And he topped it all off by lying about the whole thing to his boss. It is a let down for the kids he recruited, but ol' Bobby had a habit of jumping from coaching jobs before he came to AR.
  11. Whenever you watch the FLW on TV they always focus on the guys on top the leader board, here's a look at the guy who finished 50th.
  12. The whole thing with the rocks could be a factor also, Crocker is claiming they were throwing "softball sized" rocks at him before he shot, the canoers are saying that they did not pick up rocks until after the shooting. I think Crocker is lying, but if they can convince the jury that he was being stoned by a gang of people, he might be able to wiggle off the hook. There's going to be 2 versions of what happened.

You're being paranoid , but I see your point.
  14. Dat's a beeg cocodrie!
  15. I can see where it is possible that the judge could make a ruling on the whole confusing property rights thing as it pertains to rivers in MO. It also seems to me impossible to avoid in this case, but I'm no attorney.
  16. Yeah the wreck I saw was at the 71/340 intersection.
  17. According to F&F, federal law applies to TR, it being a COE lake, so the 50 foot law goes out the window.
  18. Old people drive too slow to be a problem . With all due respect, I live here and believe me, on the roads old people are not the ones that worry me. Granted in an ice or snow storm people are going to wreck, but it will effect all ages. Saw a wreck a couple of years ago, I'm behind an old lady at a stop light, light turns green, she pulls out and gets T-boned by a young guy in a pickup truck. I get out to help, fortunately no one was injured, talked to the guy for a second, he didn't even realize his light was red. BTW one of the things defensive driving teaches you, when the light turns green, make a glance in both directions to make sure no one is running that red light.
  19. Wow, nice fish! So much for the hoper theory on Taneycomo trout.

That's what I keep telling these guys that think that because the Hogs beat the Ragin Cajuns it's some kind of huge win. It's a Sun Belt team, any mediocre SEC team should whip a Sun Belt team 95% of the time.
  21. Most tournament rules have a requirement that the participants obey the boating laws. If you knowingly break this law you're gaining an advantage over the other guys in the tourney that are following the rules.
  22. After taking a defensive driving course (required when I was in the military), they teach you to trust no one. The town I live in, Bella Vista, has nothing but hilly, curvy roads. People routinely cross the center line, if they are not paying attention, and not all of them are young women. Young guys in pickup trucks are another class of driver that you should keep an eye on.
  23. Yep, you are right. If a guy got a ticket for this, I'd think you'd have a good chance of getting it dismissed if you took it to court. I can see other possible loopholes.
  24. I do fish before sunrise sometimes, so it is good to know.
