  1. I've also heard a story from someone who was a back seater with Roland that he was not a pleasant guy, but I've never met Roland so can't say so myself.
  2. Drew Benton in the lead with 18+ lbs. Roland Martin is tied for 9th only 3 lbs. back. It would be neat to see Roland pull it off, I believe he is 72 now, so I would have to think he'd be the oldest to win an FLW if he pulled it off. http://www.flwoutdoors.com/bassfishing/flw/tournament/2013/6945/beaver-lake-professional-results/
  3. Very nice, congrats
  4. Great day! Thanks for the report.
  5. Nice one!
  6. Wow, heck of a deal for some great reels, I've got more than enough reels right now, but it sure is tempting.
  7. Raining hard here in Bella Vista right now, getting some flash BOOM action also, lightning striking, then right away BOOM accompanied with some house rattling. Looks like the heavy rain stretches down south past Fayetteville, so I'm wondering if the creeks and rivers are going to get a little bump and push the lake up a foot or two. Be interesting to see how this effects the FLW boys, cold temps, lake coming up, potential for muddy river arms, I'm real interested to see what these guys use and how well they do. my guess is they'll be throwing the A-rig a lot. That is if the A-rig is still legal on the FLW and I believe it is.
  8. Yeah I don't see him as being a good NBA prospect, he might be able to play overseas and I guess a player gets paid reasonably well playing over there, but it's not NBA money. He'd be better served to stay in school, take advantage of his scholarship and get a degree that gives him some kind of marketable skill.
  9. Good on you for taking the kids out fishing!
  10. Another InvisX user here on spinning tackle and AbazX on BC's.
  11. You should have waded in right next to him, given him a little pinch on the butt, and asked him if he was looking for a boyfriend. More than likely it would spook him and he would take off, only problem would be if he said yes, then you'd have to figure a way out. But seriously, you'll run into jackasses out there whether it's a river or lake, best thing to do, as you did, is just walk off and let them have their fun.
  12. It's up Aunts creek.....just kidding, I don't know where it is.
  13. Yep great report ab, that's a nice spot BTW. I hear you on that wind, I've stayed around the house doing chores rather than going out and fighting that wind. Did you need much of a pause to get them to hit the McStick? I'm thinking with the wind it would have been tough to do a long pause.
  14. I would call that a good start, nice pair of bass.
  15. Yes a very nice eye!
  16. I love a dry sense of humor...
  17. Cool, we're getting close to that time of year when a lot of different techniques should start working.
  18. Nice ones, thanks for the water temp report.
  19. Just curious to see what the water temps were today (Sunday) for anyone coming off the water in the afternoon.
  20. When I was living in Washington State, no one would buy Chum salmon, Chums direct from salt water aren't bad, but they have a bad reputation as once they move into the rivers they quickly start to deteriorate. So the fishing industry decided to rename them "Silver Brite" salmon. You have to be wary when buying salmon, especially when it's named something that's not an identifiable species. They are also trying to rename those flying carp that are infesting Midwest rivers, people won't buy or eat anything labeled "carp".
  21. You guys done good, congrats!
  22. Probably a good thing they were out of BPS floro, I once bought a spool of that stuff, if you breathed on it, it broke. Worst floro I've ever fished. I will NEVER buy BPS floro again.
  23. I'm beginning to think that Fridays are now the new Saturdays, lots of bass boats out there today, nice weather for a change, I guess a lot of folks are playing hookie - good for you if you made it out there! Today was a quantity day rather than a quality day for me, caught around 20 black bass, mostly 12 -15 inch male LM's with a couple of spots and a couple of meanmouth. Big fish was a 2.5 lb. spot. The tube was doing it, most fish were rather shallow, 5- 10 feet around rocky banks that weren't too steep. Water temps were 52 - 55 degrees. I did get one fish on the Perfect 10 Rogue, a nice picture worthy 2 lb. meanmouth.
  24. If you're trolling for crappie, Bandit 300's work well and you'll pick up an occasional walleye.
