  1. We filed the papers today so I was told. Hope the money is behind it.
  2. Nope. The way I read it, you still get to leave to find groceries....
  3. SEMO density pretty low.
  4. At what point do they stop adding ethanol to the gas? I was always under the impression when the price of oil was low, it was cheaper to make real gas instead of food production gas. Still $1.79 here.
  5. I've been told that our peak is still 4 weeks away. Enjoy life now. The worst for us is still a month away. Was gonna rinse the bottom of the jet boat in the cleansing waters of the 11 Pt this weekend and do a stay over with the wifey. Been a stressful week dealing with the idiots in "essential businesses" we both work at. We have not seen the Grandkids for 3 weeks now. NFS shuts down campgrounds, all forms of public temp housing shut down. River up and not really fun anyway. Out of non ethanol gas locally, gonna have to forage for that. Wally World in shambles. Rain in forecast all day tomorrow. It really has to be the end of the world. But beer is cold, food is good, and Tosh O is on the tube. I may make it another day.
  6. Youngins are a little more agile than us aged folks. A 10 foot boat may do him well, or a 12' boat if a bigger boy. My last 2 boats have been simple boats from Academy. 10' Heritage Angler is a pretty good boat. Lightweight, fast sporty hull for moving water, and stable design. Has plenty of storage and comes in a 12' model too, I think. Grandkid loves it and can paddle it well since he was 8. https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/heritage-angler-10-10-ft-sit-on-top-angler-kayak#repChildCatid=5098536
  7. Seriously, you all are getting too down on all of this. Less people out, more room for us. More people at home, things are quieter in town. My chances of getting killed in a car wreck have been reduced dramatically because less idiots driving around on cell phones. You can shop in peace when you go to town. I am an essential business. I am still out in the public on a daily basis. I meet strangers and spend time with them. I eat out and make cash transactions. I use public restrooms. I shop at Wally World. I mingle with other business men but not in groups. I am in a higher risk factor because of the radiation that zapped my neck makes swallowing more difficult. Any upper respiratory infection is a new problem. I am already at a higher percentile for pneumonia because of it. If I get it, its gonna suck, but I will survive it. But I have a few percent chance more of developing pneumonia and it going to the bad stage. Its the flu, a bad flu. It kills and puts in the hospital people that have other conditions that are making them at risk for the normal flu. If you are strong and healthy, don't have any cardio problems, diabetes, or respiratory problems, your chances of survival are very, very high. If you have any of those problems, then stay away and be very careful what you do. We all die, no stopping it. Its going to happen. Life on Earth is short and we never know how long it will be. You can not live life in fear of dying. Be smart and think. Learn. Live. And put your faith in something other than rubber gloves and masks.
  8. Nice. I like the interior layout.
  9. Funny how things look the second time around. Especially a few weeks after a doc has cleared you from the first round. Radiation is rough, but less long term effect than chemo. Radiation whacks the area it hits, chemo whacks the whole system and wreaks havoc on all of the body. Immune therapy is new stuff, seems to go pretty well. Looks like what you may be getting. This fishing season is looking like a rough one from the get go with all of the rain and premature spring. And the hassles dealing with all of the virus complications on all factors of daily life is not going to help it any. Get well, better times are coming next year.
  10. One divorce is enough.
  11. Maybe my browser has it saved and I never really see which side I am on. Rolled into a job yesterday, I still have to see the public... I'm essential... Out of work, private massage gal, out of work for social distancing... ?? No money, only bread winner in household. I really felt her for her, told her if she could cut hair, I need a haircut. But you ain't rubbing anything on me.... Don't come to the door wearing sweats, a hog ring in your nose, and an attitude and expect me to be wanting what you have to offer... I have been married before....
  12. And he was still hungry when they dumped him back in. Probably couldn't eat much with the plastic and hooks in his mouth. But, nice catch. Much better that the idiots that I have had to deal with all week. Someone uncapped stupidity this week in this side of the world..
  13. Good. Motor sitting about right. No spray. Posted pic on the boat build thread. No speed demon, but enough power to pull up on a riffle. Hard to say how shallow it could run. St Francois was up a few feet and pumping mud.
  14. Just got back from a shopping spree this afternoon after work. Gas line for the boat at Wally World, gallon of 2 stroke oil, 6 gallon tank at Academy, and some other stuff. 14 cases in many thousand people is a pretty safe bet. Not like I am going to the big crowded city. Washing hands and using my sanitizer sparingly, No resupply in sight yet.
  15. I am still out shaking hands and doing business as usual. We are an essential business. I will be mad if they find a cure for the Covid before they cure stupidity. This week has been full out dumb a week, so many dumb customers crammed in a 48 hour period so far. My stress level will blow a gasket inside before anything else gets me. Good news, daughter cancelled birthday party on Easter weekend, I have 3 days off to go fishing. Praying for good weather and water. May have to camp on a bank somewhere out of the boat.
  16. All your life, angry beavers have been chasing you.
  17. But the nads. Hip waders just protect the legs, hit one little hole and its suck up time. I have to go chest wader or bare back.
  18. Wappapello was unusually busy Sunday too. River in flood stage, and falling, pure mud, with a cold front just blowed thru. Cuz did catch a couple of bass in the back water on a shad rap while I was messing with the boat. I tried to fish some, but did not put forth much effort in it.
  19. I dig holes all of the time, keeps the neighbors on their toes... I used to bury the fish carcasses that I filleted in the garden for fertilize. But then I realized that their dogs like to roll in them and learned they keep them out of my yard for a while. I usually leave dead carcasses out on top of the ground now and enjoy the thoughts of bowser or fluffy coming in smelling nice and ripe. Even have pics on the game cam of them making rounds. Its the little things in life that cheer you up.
  20. Was that the guy in California that died sniffing aquarium chemicals?? Its a virus, Azithromycin antibiotic would only help a bacterial infection, secondary infection. Quinine is being studied, it killed malaria, a mosquito born parasitic disease. But the only real cure to a virus is to get it and live thru it, then you will be immune. Vaccine creates immunity to prevent. Several compounds have been found to lessen the effects of a virus, but never a cure. Don't get it and wait for a vaccine, or get it and get over it.
  21. Anybody digging a hole in the back yard to bury our carcasses?? Funerals are shut down. Since we are all sitting around waiting to die, maybe build a box and dig a hole to help out the cause.
  22. I was after whistle pigs and possums on the half shell.
  23. That should qualify for free shipping.
  24. I like Harbor Freight, but you take it with a grain of salt. I am not a professional tool guy. My box of tools that I work with has Cresent Wrenchs, Snap On, and Craftsman. I have Eastwing hammers, Gerber axes, and other high end stuff from yard sales and purchases. But Harbor Freight has alot of stuff that works for low usage. I keep a set of wrenches in the truck from them and they do the job when I am not home. I picked up screwdrivers, cresent wrenches of 3 sizes, a pair of channel lock pliers, a pry bar, pliers, zip ties, a waterproof ammo box, cable protector, assorted waterproof wire connectors, and a small hand axe for the boat. They have cheap stuff, but its handy to have if you need it a few times.
