  1. Whats Facebook? Never went down that road.
  2. Gavin, contact Benjamin and have them mail you another. Anyone having any effects on the power in this cold weather? I read an article about performance in cold weather decreases on spring airs. Gas pistons were to be a fix for it.
  3. MOpanfisher has it spot on. Something about the radiation I absorbed has affected my perception of hot and cold. Heat and sweat does not bother me now, but cold has a new meaning this year. I used to enjoy sitting on the edge of an iced over hole dangling my waders in the water keeping the hole open waiting for ducks. But losing a third of my body weight, zapped by the rays of chernobyl about the head and neck, and the other stuff that went on this year has changed me some, especially the sub teen stuff. I was out on the jet boat a few weeks ago in the 20 degree weather without much complaint. Its just too dam cold for anything right now.
  4. Never found the use for the A rig. Bought one when they first came out. Laugh at my buddy when he wastes time and elbow on them thrashing the water. Never impressed.
  5. I have been reading for a few years. I get emails from them also, lots of stuff from TN and smokies. They have done stuff on the Ozarks before. Lots of good free reading.
  6. Taneycomo special this month. Always a good read. Southern Trout web
  7. I only keep a few trout, panfish, and a catfish or two each year from Missouri lakes and streams, I seldom worry. The TN river system comes thru coal sludge and nuclear waste at Oak Ridge, but I will eat a few whites or sauger from there. Most of the fish I consume are bought at the stores where they come from nice clean waters of the ocean or China. Maybe a tilapia or 3 from a nice turd pond somewhere. I tend to let all locals free to play another round. I never worry how they taste.
  8. Nothing for the fishes this year, just a bunch of black parts that need assembled from Palmetto State Armory. Building another AR. For the first time in 8 years, parts are cheap and flowing freely.
  9. Pyramid air has a 10 percent off after Christmas sale with clearance. Time to spend those Santa bucks. https://www.pyramydair.com/after-christmas-sale?trk_msg=PEMVJIQFJ99KLAM2177957CA3S&trk_contact=LVVS7A7ODA2CD80KEEP16FPH84&trk_sid=9QKLJBDGPVOGH57ASHTOI1TQU0&utm_source=Listrak&utm_medium=Email&utm_term=Winter+Sales+Event&utm_campaign=The+Clearance+Sale+Has+Begun!
  10. Spoonbill are plankton filter feeders and small insect larva, they are as clean as the water they are in. Catfish too for the most part. Suckers, carp, and other bottom feeders tend to accumulate the poisons and heavy metals from the bottom of the streams they feed on and are not as healthy to eat.

  12. I also saw they are going to start a fund for his wife, she will not be eligible for his retirement benefits for a few more years. If I see more, I will post it. This really scares the hell out of me. The docs have all talked about side effects, but have never mentioned fatal. They have always led me to believe it was easily curable with a high success rate. They also let me believe that it was a slow growing cancer. This makes me think otherwise and opens up a whole new conversation dialog with my docs.
  13. Found this on Illinoissmallmouthalliance forum. It was from his wife 3 days ago. Long time ISA Member Norm Minas, has been dealing with cancer for a while now. Recently, his wife posted this update on Norm's health. "This is so hard. This is Norm's wife....winner of all arguements and the one that gets sh*t done. Unfortunately Norm's cancer has spread to his lung. Had it not been for me argueing with the docs, they would not have sent him to the hospital. There they discovered he had pnuemnia blood clots and fluid surronding his lung. That's when the found the cancer has spread. He is now in a nursing home being made comfortable. And if that wasn't bad enough, he is suffering from dementia. That came out of nowhere. So in a matter of 3 yes 3 weeks he has gone from the love of my life to a bag of bones who doesn't remember his children and me occasionally. Now we just wait until his body has no fight left. Soon he'll be catching all the smallies he ever wanted" Our thought's and prayers go out to Norm and his family.
  14. Oh man, I thought he was kicking it. We were on the same path, same cancer, he was a few months behind me on treatments. He was having complications due to other health problems. My last messages to him was when he saw the results of my PET test and possible cancer return on Nov 18. He was feeling good and in better shape from the chemo and radiation than I was as far as side effects. Something else may have got him, the treatment is a stress on all body organs.
  15. That one should work just fine. I have it on my Gamo Maxxim 22 and like it.
  16. Like I said. The liberal killing is needed to control the population and protect the breeding grounds for all other waterfowl. I do agree the piles of carcasses do not promote a sporting image most believe in. But there are those that use social media in ways I don't approve of daily. It does tend to project the wrong image.
  17. Sky Carp...... You could lay out a hundred fields like that and only improve the other Waterfowl.
  18. I have always had good luck with Pyramid. Good variety and service.
  19. Mama was a slut hanging out with other trashy ducks. Green head and blue wing counts as a mallard in your quiver of 4 max. But it has got other genes.
  20. I like the trails, they are like little shortcuts to get me away from the crowds. If they could train them not to use the trails for pooping, it would be even better. They tend to be better walking than the trails made by the herds of fishermen that plow down each side of the banks and drop all kinds of trash along the way.
  21. What about around the fittings for live wells or aerators, I have seen those leak from time to time. Most made out of plastic and vibrations shake them loose.
  22. I never keep bass. Those little black mussel worms make the meat taste like carp.
  23. Beware some of the internet do it yourself trigger fixes. I fubarred a Stoeger a few years back based on a common internet post on how to tune one of their triggers. Charlie da tuna is a reputable one.
  24. He should be able to finish him off with a head shot before he limps away on 3 legs.
  25. Does your scope lack the AO adj on the front scope bell? Ever y pellet gun scope needs it to adj for short ranges.
